What are you scraping with Mark? I found that using a long handled razor blade scrapper worked best when I did mine.

I believe the box is still availabel but the door probably from eBay.

How did the sway bar give way? Was it already loose or how was it damaged?

Hence the request for more pictures of your AC. Under the dash, console controls and other side of the firewall to start. That will show more info than trying to explain everything. The folks on this forum are sharp and can pick out details that could solve your AC questions quickly.

You're going to have to show pictures to clarify your car's situation, especially with the AC. But typically with the stock version of the heater, you simply slide your controls to heat and hot and of course turn on the blower fan. Hot air should only come out of the heater vents or the defrost, whichever is selected, not the center or side. That is unless you have some other aftermarket kind and I am not familiar with any of those. Someone with more V8 and 72' experience will probably chime in soon. Good luck!

Well, I had to leave ZCon a wee bit early for technical reasons and didn't get many pics, but I know all the cool kids were heading to the closing banquet that SteveJ was putting together. I'll be coming in tomorrow early afternoon. I filled up with a bad tank of gas earlier today and hope I can work it out before I leave. Where are all the CZCC hanging out?

Installed new Gates belts (fan and AC) and cleaned up around the alternator + replaced the AC pulley bearing even though my AC does not function yet. Glad I checked before I drive to Atlanta. Now to chase down intermittent headlights.....
