Zed Head is right as usual. Put the rear up on ramps. It does make it easier. Let the air out of the front tires if it gets tight. Use a rope and foot long piece of wood through the shifter hole to keep the transmission up and snug.
  2. Those speed bumps around the front entrance are like mountain trails but I think the Defender will be able to pull over them without damage. Now my 240 has to be parked coming in from the entrance to the parking lot. It's a lot of walking and the handicap placard is useless.

Put one of these on the drive shaft out put too. Keeps from making a mess and you can drain the fluid after to get it pulled. Edit. The one on top was for pressure wasing, cleaning. You won't need that to keep the fluid in.

For what's it worth I install the motor with the 6-1 header bolted down then hook up the backend of the exhaust. Remove the steering rod first. That helps a whole lot.
  5. You're the brains behind it so you for sure qualify.
  6. Wow! I can't determine who's got the bigger balls. The Marshall or the guy raising sand around him? Great video, thanks for sharing.
  7. This has nothing to do with Zs but Stihl equipment. They've gone to a new carb tool they won't sale you, bat rastards, for adjusting the high and low settings. After a month of trying to save a dollar I found what works at Harbor Freight. It's a screwdriver set with a 4mm tool you need all the rest are just a bonus in my thinking and I must offset everything with a positive spin. Wacko I know, I get that every other day. https://www.harborfreight.com/16-piece-precision-screwdriver-set-4143.html
  8. We have a Fastenal brick and mortar store here. Is that a Southern business or are they nationwide? They have everything too.
  9. Took it out for a 30 minute drive. Broke the ceramic pads loose, no squeaking , burnt the older fuel in the float chambers and the delivery system. Heated the tires up to keep any flat spots away. Italian tune up! Everything's working good so I'm happy for another month or so until I do it again. Weather's nice down here for a change. You NW folks are experiencing what we do every year I've read. Sorry about that but it's El Nino acting up a lot sooner than normal. They say "going to hell in a handbasket" around here when there's no end in sight.

Their own lawyers say you literally can't believe the facts they're are telling. https://www.npr.org/2020/09/29/917747123/you-literally-cant-believe-the-facts-tucker-carlson-tells-you-so-say-fox-s-lawye
  11. Old stand by question for everything but how do the plugs look? Is it no spark or no fuel?
  12. He's been sweating Betty!
  13. BCDD is what I'm leaning to. Does the tach get erratic during these episodes?

I didn't see America/ USA on any levels? Did I miss it or are we cured?
  15. I've seen a small suction type dent puller on FB marketplace I'm thinking about buying. I have a dent in my refrigerator door too I think it would work on. I'll let you know if I buy it.
  16. What do you guys use to protect the tops of the fenders? Mine are soft as a beer can so I have some painters cotton drop cloths I use but I need some magnetic fender covers I guess. Or quit putting my elbows there.

I bet that makes you feel better. The honor system? Oxymoron like model prisoner.
  18. Mine popped open once and I jumped out to shut it without pulling the cable and releasing it completely. I shut the hood on my fingers and was held hostage. Couldn't move enough to pull the handle in the cabin. Stuck in a parking lot locked down by the hood. I had to start yelling for help, I was trapped and it was hurting. Luckily a nice guy came over and pulled the handle, setting me free. I'm super careful about that now because I often drive around with the hood latched but not shut completely. Just another day in my life.
  19. I was on my phone but now that I'm on the laptop with all my pictures I can see the headlight and parking light solder spots and wires from a long time ago. Thanks for the push.
  20. Mine went out and I had to flip the 2 plates over in the combo switch. Years of off/on contact had burnt those plates. Turn them over and they're like new. Rebuild_240Z_combo_switch-1.pdf
  21. Rockauto has ACC kits like just about everyone else so I'd guess they are the best simply by how many are selling them. If you go to rockauto.com you'll find the kit numbers from ACC. Google that but you won't find a better deal by a major supplier. I'd see if MSA has the same number too. Most likely...
  22. And you have an awesome car! I couldn't remember if you switched to the 240 bumpers so I did an image search and your original bumpers look fantastic with the color scheme you came up with plus the way better protection in case of an accidental bump from the rear. I love your car! You set the bar way over my head.
