  1. What about that bolt in the thermostat housing everybody talks about going too far in? EDIT: that bolt hits the timing chain guide. SORRY
  2. siteunseen posted a topic in Funnybone
I'm a little slow, just saw this, now I'm wiping snot off my face from laughing.
  3. I had to grind the sides of my 17 mm crows foot down quite a bit. Seems like it was hitting up against the next locking nut on #1. Jenny's happy, we're all happy.
  4. Maybe one of your water pump bolts cracked the front cover? I hope you get that figured out.
  5. Thanks Guys! I'll get mine sooner than later now, just need more $$. Always needing Datsun money.
  6. dltalfa would you rate the difficulty of that once you've finished for me please, maybe 1 thru 10, 10 being the worst job ever. I've got to replace mine soon. Thanks, Cliff
  7. Scroll all the way down and you'll see the decals and places to get them. XenonS30 - Painting Your Engine Banzai has more.
  8. There's some restorations here; http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/open-zcar-discussion/47863-lime-green-machine-restoration-thread-1972-240z.html http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/open-zcar-discussion/48360-240z-rebuild-restoration-right-down-shell.html http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/open-zcar-discussion/48337-280z-rebuild-ground-up.html
  9. Wow that's one heck of a car. He never cranked it though.
  10. I read somewhere, Coutesey Nissan I think, those were available part #'s to 1975. My June of '72 does not have them either, probably from previous owners 10ft paint job. EDIT: Here's what I read http://shop.jdm-car-parts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=313
  11. Now I have 4 wheel disc brakes, thanks Blue.
  12. The Police are catching on to mine too. Every time I ride through a certain area (nice long straights) the howl must be way louder coming out the tail pipe than I realize because I always meet a patrol car on my way out. I have the MSA header and 2.5" system to and this is the one I think would work best for me. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-24215/
  13. I used those too. Seems a lot more secure.
  14. Congrats on 1,000 post Captain, 999 were probably helping one of us. There's a reason everyone needs at least 2, no spare parts. That's a good idea Madkaw.
  15. I put the original steel wheels and hubcaps on my 240. They need repainting but I like them better. It makes the car look smaller.
  16. I just found that old thread with those pictures. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/help-me/12771-rear-hatch-hinge-seals-2.html Seems like the part number goes to 1973. Those pictures are of my '77 280, I'm about to go look at the '72 240. I was WAY off, sorry.
  17. I'm confused too. I don't know which gasket your referring to but here are more pictures. Hope that they help. OK, your talking about seals not rubber gasket for weather stripping.
  18. The 2 sided with the top under the hatch is NOT on my 240 or 280, both are black rubber. Looks like they would have been put on after painting. it has original paint. My 240 looks the same.
  19. It does it when downshifting above 3k? Maybe something loosened up on you exhaust? Mine has a buzz coming from the circle Z emblem behind the 1/4 glass, I'll pull it out someday, it's annoying as hell.

  21. I knew it when she did it. My Mom shouldn't have thrown away my Silly Puddy just because I's eating it. Way to go Miller Time!
  22. Here's something to look at while TCB'ing http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/engine-drivetrain-s30/46186-installing-timing-chain-when-rebuilding-motor-stand.html Courtesy of Blue.
  23. I flipped the switch over today. Seems much more responsive to my foot against the gas pedal.
  24. She might be experiencing coolant temp drift in her ECU? That's the Big Bang Theory for me.
