  1. Without buying Chinese made stuff all I would have is my dog. Sadly even the American money in my pocket probably is counterfeit from over their. There's a little Far East in everything now days. Anti-freeze for sweetener even.
  2. I do now. :bulb: Captain Obvious I'm not sure of the stamp on mine but it is internally oiled and also had a spray bar that was barley there when I bought the car. I'm going to get it down this weekend and see what's what and I'll let you know if I need it. Thanks for the help. Cliff
  3. Thanks Jeff. I could use that cam and if I didn't like I could always spend some $$ and get a new cam kit. I want to try and put a spare motor together while I'm paying off the 240 I bought. I need a feeler gauge to see if I have any money in my wallet right now, it's that flat. That N47 was just a boat anchor until now. thanks again.
  4. What about a cam out of a 09/'76 N47 with oiler cam plus spray bar? on a E31 with larger valves? Would it work too?
  5. I'd keep the one you drive the most, sale the other.

'77 & '78 has the raised rear deck, don't know about UK 260 though. I've been looking at ACC 16605, haven't bought it yet so can't comment on quality. 1977 280Z Complete Carpet Without Wheel Wells Shock Covers ACC16605 | eBay
  8. My Mercury outboard motor had a enrichner solenoid valve that let fuel threw when you pushed in the key on the control box. Mercury Quicksilver 89-819503A2 Boat Solenoid Kit / Enricher Valve | Great Lakes Skipper

  10. I like the #112 lime color and I'm sure it's a pain to change the color of the engine bay. http://www.zhome.com/History/ZColorGallary/112Yellow2.jpg And, YES, I admire an original color painted car, especially those '70's colors.
  11. You've got yourself an "opportunity" to learn every inch of a Z right there.

  15. If there's an easy to remove M10x1.0 bolt on my car tell me where and I'll check it out for sure but I think you've nailed it down.
  16. It's definitely an M10, I've got a cheap plastic nut & bolt gauge, and it's definitely not a 1.25 thread or 1.5, I've got a tap & die set and it won't screw into either of those 2. I do not have a bolt that will screw into it, neither will the 1.25 & 1.5 taps. It has 5 threads per 5mm or 2 10ths of an inch the best I can tell so as usual your right! It does have a copper washer between the valve and the pump body.
  17. Anything for you Sir. It's the same as most other fuel barbs I have collected, 1/8 NPT threads. The threaded part measures 1/4 long or deep into the pump, .39" across. Overall length is just under 1 1/4" from end to end, 1.235" to be exact. I would give you mine but that pump is still good. After spending probably $300 to fix a low fuel pressure stumble I thought I had, I finally did what the 280 Lady, Fastwoman said and tweaked the coolant sensor, under $5 bucks and now it runs great. If I can do more let me know. Cliff

  19. I must have gotten the last one! Now all they have are Beck Arnley's for $800, same pump though. I googled Bosch 69612 and nobody has them. And it's not as simple as a valve stem.
  20. I put a new Bosch on when I bought the car, throwing $$ at problems that weren't there but I'm glad I did any how. I pinched off the lines with hemostats I've collected throughout my motorcycle wrecking career, Evil Kenevil was my hero. I have about 12ft. of paired wire with clips on both ends for testing stuff and I hooked it to the pump and the battery then put the out line into a clear jug, 5 gal. peanut oil container and let it run. That hose blew out and gas went all over the place so be sure and clamp it down with something, it's super strong. That's how I primed mine. And I got it from Advanced Auto online with a coupon code from retailmenot.com for around $200. I've got the old one still and could take some pics for you if needed, seems like the check valve is just a valve stem. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/fuel-injection-systems-s30/36255-fuel-check-valve.html

  22. What's another couple hours of work right? Another 12 pack!
  23. It's no wonder why your lucky daughter wants that car, it looks great and now runs great. Congratulations to you & her.
  24. Having problems with the photos. I guess my 2.8 rods are different from 2.4 rods.
  25. I remember my APR bolts were really snug, I tapped them down with a small hammer then put on a short piece of rubber hose to keep from scratching the crank when I tapped the piston down before the caps went on. EDIT: My extra set looks different. I apologize.
