  1. Did you dig him up. He's been dead a few years I believe.
  2. The 280 was like my high school car and my first car motor rebuild. Zero rust and I wouldn't hesitate driving it to Zcon in Canada. I prefer 240s but a 280 is a little more comfortable to drive. They're better long distant road trip cars and I'm planning on driving the Blues Highway in Mississippi this fall or winter. Plus being a grease monkey like I am that white interior has to go.
  3. I removed my EGR and the BPT valve. You have to remove the heat plate that's under the AAR valve with the two heater hoses and the vacuum switch then plug a vacuum hose that runs from the BPT valve to under the TPS to close the system back up. I have some pictures, when you get closer let me know and I'll post them up. Those broken studs, the first one and the last one, can be tapped and the next size exhaust stud put in. I bought mine from Nissan, it's for their 8 cylinder Titan pickup. Remove this heat plate and keep this AAR
  4. That looks great! A couple of beers goes a long way amongst friends.
  5. You really don't have to coat the inside. Blue didn't here and they weren't from the factory. Just keep it full. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/gastank/index.htm I used Red Kote on one 6 years ago and haven't had any problems so far. And @Bonzi Lon used it some years ago and I don't think he's had any trouble either, hopefully he will reply and tell us the years. Maybe the radiator shop just don't want to fool with it?
  6. I see y'all have Meg White in the chase car.
  7. Yeah we all know what it's like be bullied by the all knowing. When I read the hybridz info I saw that Zed Head had some expirence with the rt mount so I "tagged" him for you. We're all friends here and happy to help.
  8. I googled that and there's a lot of discussion on problems installing. https://www.google.com/search?q=Problem+installing+TechnoVersions+differential+mount&rlz=1C1BOFA_enUS494US494&oq=Problem+installing+TechnoVersions+differential+mount&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 You've most likely read it already though. @Zed Head will know.
  9. She's trying to sale her car, 10,000 miles a year for a daily driver is considered low to average milage in the USA. You might try posting it on http://my350z.com/forum/
  10. That's one of the first words I learned working with some guys from Guatemala, that and maricon. Cheech told Chong that pendejo meant "friends". They crashed in someones front yard and Chong was saying "hey pendejos!!"

  12. What results do you guys have? No leaks I hope. Jim A. most of my 240 parts come from Irving, TX. I know that's a distribution center, is that how Courtesy keeps their inventory so straight? Is Richardson close to Irving?
  13. All the buckshot I've spit out after eating duck and dove breast. What don't kill us makes us stronger. Antibiotics and flu shots?
  14. Project in progress already! You scored a touchdown with this forum, great people with tons of experience. Lots of Canucks here too. Welcome aboard.
  15. That's a 1200 FPS brake barrel pellet gun from Wallymart, $88 plus $40 for a decent scope from Academy. I've realized the further out I slide it the quieter it is but the turbulence knocks the accuracy off. So after driving some nails at a homemade target, flattened out beer case with some Sharpie circles, it's accuracy is best at about 4" past the end of the barrel. It still takes the "crack" out and the squirrels too. All you hear is the slamming of the piston into the chamber. My neighbors little girl, sweetest child in the world loves squirrels so it's quiet enough for her not to hear it. I don't let them drop dead on my neighbors property, I wait them out, sooner or later they get in the kill zone. Alabama says they're rodents so no license or hunting season. I have two of the fattest red hawks you've ever seen, they get them as quick as I kill them. Circle of life!
  16. You gave me an idea and it works great for my early morning squirrel elimination.
  17. My first rebuild I cleaned everything first, mistake for me. You can look at a dirty part and figure out a lot, shiny side down, indented gaskets show the orientation, things like that. When I rebuilt my 2.4 I waited until I needed the parts to clean them. It made a little easier. Another thing I learned between those two projects was to write down the contents on a piece of paper and put it in the Zip-Loc bag, just marking the bags with a Sharpie won't last long. It seems to always smear off after handling them a few times. My $.02

  19. Mineral spirits might cut it and it's not as "hot" as other thinners. It's more oil based too so no melting of the plastic. It may take multiple applications though. Aren't you an attorney or kin to one? I've googled your email and that's what came up. You should be able to get satisfaction from the painter.
  20. He knows what he wants and has a very understanding wife, a good paying job too (I suspect). More power to you Matthew, I'm jealous. That's worth $20,000!
  21. Misplaced comma and short a zero?
