  1. @Home Built by Jeff Much better!!! The heater valves are hard to service and can be a little pricey. Some other guys have found newer parts that will work as a suitable replacement with some rework.
  2. I would convert it but I wouldn't cavity wax it
  3. Patcon posted a topic in Internet Finds
This car is in Calgary. Probably a lot of good parts. The car looks pretty clean and well cared for. At least until impact https://www.copart.com/lot/39659858 @wheee! @zKars
  4. Do you have a link to the seller?
  5. I agree, they are easily disfigured. I would hate to see two good candidates destroyed. You could get some Freeze Off spray. I think CRC makes it. I have had good luck with it and a torch.
  6. Can you get a flare nut wrench over those? You may have to experiment with metric and standard to see which fits the best. That or a really good pair of the vise grips I bought but they will leave more marks than the flare nut wrench. This or this
  7. About 9k now. Not a bad price if it's mostly rust free
  8. It sounded like this might be a needed daily driver ASAP
  9. The other possibility is these are not sub par wheels but made to a decent standard. Since some of the buyers may be running them on expensive classic cars. Hard to know, unless you know the source and their reputation.
  10. I'd be surprised if there were that many. WAG would be 10-20% of production How many came to the US out of total production?
  11. I don't see a down side to this. Do you?
  12. I don't believe he documented it here. He may have over on HybridZ
  13. @SteveJ @Captain Obvious I don't really know the answer, maybe the "sparkies" will. I know a welder wants clean power to make good welds. I don't know how to quantify that.
  14. I didn't look through all the pics. That's too bad. Price goes down accordingly
  15. Nix240 has reproduced all these tags on his car during his restoration
  16. I've got a set of those mirrors somewhere. I wonder if I can locate them?
  17. I agree with 26th. I think done reasonably well the car is 50k or so. I would say any sub 2000# cars are considered really early cars. That might even apply to 5000# and below. the first 500# cars are a breed apart and are already in the 90-100k value area.
  18. That looks to be a really nice car for the money!
  19. What was the product number and color?
  20. Patcon replied to Zup's topic in Body & Paint
Would you happen to have a part number for that?
  21. I had a thought a little while ago. As these cars get more and more scarce and the values increase rougher cars become more viable project candidates. This isn't totally analogous but I was speaking to a restoration guy who was doing a 63' stingray. He told me the car came out of a junk yard and when he got it you could stick your arm between the roof and the door frame with the door shut. The owner was going to plow 150k plus into that car. I agree though. When I see significant rust near the door data plate, that makes me nervous
  22. I thought the same thing You know it's on thick when you lose all of the floor details. The seam is rusty, so I suspect there is lot's hiding under there.
  23. That's 3/16 ths!
