  1. I am running a street cam and only a 9.5 to 1 comp. and headers with 2 .5 " plumbing. I bought the needles from Z therapy , if I remember correctly they were $30. . They have a faster taper that allows more fuel as the needle rises , but still gives the same performance at the lower RPM , good for street driving and mileage. So they say I havent done any mileage checking. Dan It's always a good thing to do what you are doing , fixing one thing at a time , some times guys will do the carbs and timing and the dist, all at the same time . Then they cant figure out what is causing what . That is what my PO had done and he screw up the timing and the carbs so bad the car hardly ran . He had it at 10degs retarded and the front carb rich and the rear lean . It was so bad that I had to take a running start to get her up the driveway ramp into the garage. Gary:classic:
  2. :stupid: talk about freaking out I am more than twice as old as my Z:ermm:and it was born 8/73:classic:
  3. With a front bumper like that Ram-a-lam-a-ding dong has you wouldent need the new snow plow ! A real duel purpose vehicle! Just look at the money you would have saved!!!! ROFL

From what I have read since I installed mine it was for that reason of water but also to help the turbulense of the air flow as it passes the front crossmember . They said that it causes a pressure build up there . Couldent be much I dont think . Any from what the test showed , with the pan in place it incrased the air flow through the rad which is a plus and helped to eliiminate the turbulense as well as keeping some the splash from the engine bay. excuse the spelling
  6. I bought a kit about 3 yrs ago on ebay its a fujimi of a fairlady 240 Z ,I was going to build it but havent . It looks detailed form what I can see .
  7. Well my '73 is stright and so is the driver ! ROFL Thanks every one I now have a new one.
  8. I would think that because of your location that the availabity of part would be a big issue, vary big. Aside from this as 2manys has said the #1 down fall of these cars is rust . It is expesnive to repair correctly . In my openion I would look first for the most rust free car and secound the most complete . And go form there.
  9. I just pulled the tank on my '73 . I am sick and tired of having explosive vapor in the interior of my car under any surcomstances. Nissan makes a hose that is for this purpose. It is a simple mod. and it eliminates all the plumbing accept one vent hose to the existing port on the filler neck to vent the tank while it is filled. Sorry I dont own a scanner or a digital camera but I may still have a diagram in a file that I can send you if you want . Just send me a email Gary
  10. I could say something about being horney but I wont sounds like you have it covered
  11. I am doing the same thing, I contacted Z therapy and ordered a set of SM needles because of the added engine displacement. Also try some 20wt oil in the carbs this helps to richen the mixture comming off the line. Just a split secound , but it makes a difference . On the leaking carbs , yes do check the float levels and while your at it make sure the floats them selves are not leaking causing them to sink. Also check the shutoff for crud some times little particules are loosened and will lodge in the seat and cause them to allow fuel to enter the float chamber and causing it to overflow. Is your fuel pump putting out more than 5psi?:classic:

of the three I like the bloodorange man that looks good. Take a look at a Toyota color for '03 Strastphire blue . this is an awsom color. deep metallic and almost black will show off all the curves and bends . I think I am going with the Yellow at this point but still am thinking of a gold pearl over it . depends on my painter ,escanlon this is his bag and I trust him completely.
  19. cv thanks for the site info. Just a note I could only get to the site on yahoo . Carl Beck has the entry on the diff swap. vary good information thanks:classic:

  21. texasz, now it's a different site it may be part of the garage but not accessable from this one. I strictly is for the change of the differentials . I have found my copy on a flopy but it is in black and white and the origional had a colored background so none of the text can be seen. Stupid of me I thought that I had backed up the site and never looked at the flopy after I downloaded . I just learned somthing here . I am not much of a computer guy . Here I thought I was being smart .
  22. close, but this one wont work:classic: it is a geocities, com but it is for the R-200 swap
