  1. https://forums.hybridz.org/topic/124530-nismo-fuel-pump-install-help/ Closest thing I could find to a picture of where it goes. There are a pair of M6 threaded holes on the back side of the "frame" member, right side, just outside of where the rear control arm suspension hanging brackets mount. For $165 I'll make these plates all day long! cut, bend, drill four holes, two insert nuts, powder coat. Done.
  2. Laverne set up my car years ago. It still runs perfect.
  3. Sometimes the outer lip on the backing plate gets bent in and will rub on the drum as it rotates, it can sound very loud but you should be able to hear that when the car is up on jacks and you are spinning the wheel. Do you have a rear sway bar that might be rubbing on one of the halfshafts as they turn? Does the sound correspond with the speed the car is going, is it constant or intermittent? Maybe get underneath and check for anything rubbing on the driveshaft or halfshafts, could you post a couple of pics of the rear brakes with the drums off?
  4. I'll do it for $150, there's bargain for you. 😉 That's not $10 worth of materials, they have no shame.
  5. You should see fresh scratch marks somewhere if it's making that sort of sound. I went from aluminum to steel with no issues that I remember I've always put the shoes in the adjusters slots, put the spring on then press them flat against hubs. Then put those pins in.
  6. Nope. Look down. (Brake MC in the photo to orient you.)
  7. A friend came over and setup the carbs and tuned them, what a beautiful sound. I took it out for a drive around the property then realized there were no headlights so the tires were throwing gravel on the sugar scoops so had to bring it back in. The engine bay is done.
  8. Dave stopped by this morning and we got the windshield in, I spent the rest of the day getting the dash in and connecting all the wires, with any luck I might get to trying to start the engine tomorrow😁
  9. Oh...and this was kinda cool.... Standing inside the car comfortably fixing the firewall while it was vertical on the rotisserie ....
  10. Got a fair bit done this weekend.... Tension rod supports are boxed in and capped. DS firewall repairs and inner fender patches welded in. Battery tray patches welded in. PS firewall patch roughed in and partially complete. That's the last of the big (and complex) holes so things should start flying soon. Parts are on order for Booth 3.0....
  11. Today i got a special delivery from Japan with some rare NOS items. I've never been actively searching for these, since i knew they're sold for astronomic prices and are no different from what i already have. But then this nice set popped up for a fair price, so i had to get it of course. 1) A NOS NISMO 10 anniversary steering wheel. It's a factory re-issue from 1884 from the Datsun / Nissan Competition steering wheel, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of NISMO. 2) A NOS NISMO 10th annivesrary shift knob of the same origin. what make the two NISMO parts a bit special are the fact that they come in the orignal box / Packing and have never been installed before. 3) Additionally i got a nice NOS Choke cable today, which my man Stefan has been storing for me since a while and today we finally met to swap some parts. Thanks mate! 4) And i also got a bunch of taillight panel plastic clips. which i realized were missing and the previous owner put some sheet metal screws there instead. Those are important for my panelbeater to make the right holes and align the rear-end in the bodyshop. Luckily those were still available from Nissan.
  12. Don’t forget to add the drain pipe from the cowl drain to out the wheel well. Don’t let it drain into the inner fender again.
  13. This was a fun little PITA patch ...in pics.... j
