  1. Well, either you're living a duel life by day and night or your wife's been using your computer! If it's your wife that may work out ok yet! πŸ˜‰
  2. Great purchase. Now you see what octave your wife hits when she hears you spent $9,000.00 on that Stroker motor! 😱
  3. I drove down to the autobody supply store and gave him the PPG and DuPont codes for 920 Safari Gold, no luck again. He searched through 3 data bases and could not find a formula for the colour☹️ So I took down one of the cubby lids for him to scan, pretty nice match.
  4. You know how those naughty little cookies track your internet activity and serve you up adverts you may be interested in? You know, the ones aligned with what you’ve purchased or searched for!? Well, this keeps coming up and I’m thinking: - Magnets for kids’ school projects, check. - Car protection and camping equipment, check. - Power tools, of course check. - Power boots, wait, what, hold on, what the heck!? Anyhow, I thought that may bring a smile to your lovely faces - is anyone else getting random ads?
  5. Ah but I see you’re a connoisseur of amplification!! I love the way you’re thinking!!! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ
  6. @Matthew Abate I too am going through my entire harness, but not to the same extent as you. I'm not replacing all the wire. Not that it's a bad idea, just not in my budget. I will be making repairs and modifications to support fuel Injection since I am going back with a RB instead of the L series. I am working with a fairly low mileage Z. I do plan to clean all terminals with Deoxit when it goes back together to ensure good connections. You mentioned adding an additional fuse in one of the previous post. I thought I might share my current project. I have a fuse box I pulled from a S14. I plan to install in the same location as the original fuse box. I want the dash harness to remain as close to stock, so I'll wire it up with the original connectors. Ideally it's basically plug in play with addition of relays and extra fuse circuits. There may be better aftermarket fuse box option, such as the Bussmann. This didn't cost me anything and has lead to me having a much better understanding of fuse box and wiring in the car. Your work here has also helped pave the way. Hopefully everything works out. This S14 fuse box should be an upgrade from the outdated stock fuse box and offer plenty of expansion for in fuel Injection setup.
  7. Nice, but those tube amps are to expensive in servicing.. they need every xx hours new tubes.. so i went for ReVox many years ago and a few years ago i bought a Hegel H360 ! (First brand is Swiss made and the next one is from Norway) Unbelieveble sound.. (on the right speakers!) On topic, i never had very strange reactions on something i looked for or bought.. but.. Always after i buy something i get that item LOTS of times as adverts, it's SO ANNOYING!! Lately bought myself a expensive phone.. On msn news i got 5! adverts in one block about the one i just bought!! Like mustard after the meal as we say in the Netherlands........ (I think i saw that advert over a 100 times in the week after i bought one.)
  8. As an update, I should be receiving the new Subaru shims tomorrow.
  9. Thanks everyone. I will probably take a short break here and then work on another. I really enjoy the entire restoration process. It's nice to have a hobby that you truly enjoy. Have a Happy New Year everyone 😊
  10. Nissalco from what I gather is Nissan Altia, I presume a company within Nissan.. Anyway, I brough a sounder meter off Yahoo auctions, and having a look now, it looks Nissalco did/do a range of garage items. This maybe not news to some, but it is to me. The sounder meter is new, and looks very 1960's early 1970s, just a cool item! Currently on Yahoo for reference, is more modern kit like a 3 ton jack (pictured) as well as bigger garage kit, wheel balancer and wheel/tyre put on thingy.
  11. I find using Ghostry on the home PC has reduced a lot of those annoying ones. I totally hear you on those Amps you mentioned. Trouble is, in this day and age if Spotify, MP3s and Bluetooth connections, we’re all more used to lower fidelity sound. Then the other day I put on a CD on the hifi with the floor standers and I was literally wowed! Then I pulled out the same track on vinyl and messed with my own head. That argument of vinyl v CD went round and round and round again. But the soundstage felt so much wider and richer that anything I can play off Spotify or using Bluetooth to connect to the car / headphones / amp!
  12. Patcon recently worked on some. I would first put them in a solvent or diesel or gasoline? something that gets in between the pin and tube.. could take a day or two.. If not free then use some heat on it..
  13. Nice!!!! Does look a touch warmer, but that could just be wet vs cured. I'd be happy with that. I had spray cans of 302 mixed by the local auto body supply house, and they made 3-4 attempts before getting close enough for me to use it 😞
