  1. A few weeks ago I traded in my 2015 Pathfinder for a Frontier Pro-4X Crew Cab. There was a poster on the wall and I said "doesn't that go with my new truck?". They took down the poster and gave it to me.
  2. I did a quick search for the home made tool thread, but I didn't find it. (Of course, I didn't spend too much time looking for it.) I bought some folding table leg brackets from Amazon a while back for this project, and I finally made the time to execute. The video shows the door sill height benchtop I made for when I have to lie on my back to work in the footwell. I used 2x12 for the benchtop with 2x4 legs. I hope you find it useful.
  3. Sorry, made perfectly good sense to me after 38 years working in computers. 😁
  4. Thank you. It wasn't my first effort. I made another bench many years ago, but it had fixed legs and a rectangular shape. It took up too much space, and it couldn't get as close to the door sill. Eventually, it got tossed. I was actually thinking of mounting a hook to the underside of the bench so I could hang it from my shelves to keep it more out of the way.
  5. 24th October 2022. Happy World Debut 53rd Anniversary to the S30-series Z family!
  6. All my CD's have been ripped and I use Logitech Media Server (Open source and it's free) on my PC with Raspberry Pi 3b+ receivers (PiCorePlayer software that's free) connected to the stereo. Music is streamed over wifi, bit perfect, to the Pi and decoded using a hifiberry HAT DAC on the Pi 3b+. With a single server I can have any number of receivers either synced or playing separate streams simultaneously.
  7. Anybody noticed that the TheZtore.com, aka zcarparts.com, aka MotorsportAuto.com, changed their web site. It's kind of odd, like they had an IT guy who doesn't really know old cars go through it during the "upgrade". Some of the phrases are strange and searching for normal words does not work. I searched for "throwout bearing" and nothing came up, no products match. Searched for "clutch" and found a page for a "clutch collar", whatever that is. Nobody calls it a clutch collar but there it is. Searched for "clutch collar" and found some parts. The site is different but not so sure it's better. Opportunity missed.
  8. I purchased this 240Z shift knob on eBay and it was a nice match (but not exact) to my steering wheel and is heavier than stock and of better quality. The seller also offered a 5-speed shift pattern as well. Even the OEM knob wasn't the same shade as the steering wheel. If you want it to match, I suggest restoring current steering wheel and stain it to match the shift knob.
  9. Short British Pathe news media clip from the show: British Pathe clip:
  10. Or just go cheap with a DPDT switch...Yeah, I know. That's no fun.
  11. That circuit looks OK to me. Have you considered using a microprocessor and pulse width modulated outputs instead of relays? Or little CAN bus receivers?
  12. That was so Greek to me! 🤣
  13. The dropdown menus under the car types are pretty good. They have categories. It's not obvious that they are there though or if you should click on the car pictures. I'm just trying to have some fun but offer constructive critique. Most people go to the site because they need parts. No time to work through the flashy stuff, just make it easy to find what you need. There is a small black arrow but is it obvious. Especially on a phone, today's world.
  14. Did it come with a new throwout bearing sleeve (aka collar)? I tried to find the list of parts in the kit but the company has shut down.
  15. I listened to "My name is mud" a few hours ago! That's about killing somebody, "Where you goin' City Boy?" Never really paid attention to the lyrics.
