Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Don't even bother, and it ain't just the rust...
  2. Hasn't started here yet but should be soon. When it snows I just stay home. Can't afford to have my truck torn up by someone with too high an estimate of their driving skills!
  3. Refreshed thread with new pics. One of the things that's always bugged me was the lack of a return spring on the parking brake handle. The first couple clicks on my car were completely loose and floppy and the handle would rattle a little over bumps when driving because there was really nothing to hold the handle down. So I fixed it... I added a return spring. I messed around with a couple different options and here is the method I thought was the best option. Here's the parking brake assy from the top side. Looks completely normal from the top: But on the bottom side, I drilled a couple holes and made a spring to pull the handle down into the off position, Not a lot of force, but just enough to overcome stiction and the little spring in the warning lamp switch: Here's a couple close-ups of the spring: I gotta say that I really really like the modification. The handle stays down, doesn't rattle, and has much more of a positive feel to it when it reaches the OFF end of travel. It's unobtrusive and doesn't require any other changes to the car. It's all located on the dry clean side and I don't have to worry about the spring rusting or sticking... It's the little things that really increase the sense of driving pleasure!!
  4. The car was delivered this morning and all I can say is WOW!!! It’s so much nicer than I expected. I found one spot with some paint overspray but realized it’s just because someone spray painted the side mirror after it was scuffed. So the overspray got on some trim but easy to remove. All other paint appears to be stock and in great shape. The interior is incredible. The dash and gauges are like new. There are no rattles, squeaks or any odd noises. It even rides terrific. The seats are incredibly comfortable. I can smell a fuel leak, an oil leak and it runs a little rough but probably just needs a tune up. Besides, the drivetrain won’t be like that for long. Still, I may go ahead and do that, install the 5 speed since my best friend got me a pedal assembly, master cylinder and has a Z32 driveshaft which may help. Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased with the purchase and could probably flip it now for a decent profit. But that would be boring…. Some cell phone shots after a quick wash before the freeze.

Thanks, will post here if things get dicey, but looks like we are OK for now.
  7. They sort of blew the forecast. The other day they really were expecting most of it to be in the mountains. Not supposed to accumulate here. One of the few jobs where you can be wrong 30% of the time and still be good at your job
  8. 24 Hours of Lemons is at Road Atlanta this weekend, too. Not a good weekend for endurance racing in the South.
  9. This is where we're at after 2 hours. The salt trucks are evidently currently stuck on the interstate. Started sleeting hard a little while ago. More moisture on the way...
  10. Only 84 degrees here in the desert today. But the wind chill factor brings it down to 82. ? Stay safe and throw another log in the fireplace. Dennis
  11. The stock rubber lines are longer on the rear than on the fronts, maybe you got a set of fronts by accident.
  12. Hmmmm, +50 F here in the great white north. My igloo is melting! Sorry to rub this in.

Yes, I think. As long as the wind continues to blow to the west I am fine. If it shifts to southeast I will be on alert. There is quite a bit of concrete around me so not super worried. Last time it came close I sat in the back yard with my painters breathing mask, goggles and the water hose.
  14. Got the same thing here Cliff. Schools closed and idiots out on the road, welcome to the South in Winter.

Just a little rubbing compound and you're good to go.... Cheers, Mike
  16. Sorry... I said rag. I meant cork. I know it's a new radiator: http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/58783-overheating-after-modifications-what-am-i-overlooking/
  17. Thanks!! I couldn't ask for a better car to start with for the price. More

  20. Its out. Its also worth pointing out that the dyno chart that fujitsubo produce is the newer system v the older one, so its not just a better fit offering more clearance, its also offers better performance. https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=https://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/prods/detail/000000000000002298/00000000000000005120/00001708&prev=search
  21. Just went to garage and took picture of how I fit the fujitsubo legalis system to my 75 280z with an R200 LSD. My car is what I and most would consider a resto mod. I have and will continue to have to customize things as I did when I chose an electronic direct fire ignition. Actions have reactions. I posted so others wouldn't expect a "plug and play" if they chose to go this route. Sent from my SM-T377V using Classic Zcar Club mobile
