That Meguiars No.7 is like lotion.  I wipe it on then let it dry for a few minutes then hit with those micro-fiber rags.  I barely even break a sweat.

I got bored a while back and decided to try the clay bar pre wax, waste of time, there wasn't one bit of orange or anything else on it.  If I ever get that bored again I'm going to do my Camry, now that one should show some dirt.

I've been using only Mothers California Gold carnauba cleaner wax (paste) since getting the car painted 7 years ago.  I credit the great clear coat work by my painter for giving me such a fantastic foundation to work with.  The carnauba goes on super easy and polishes out just as easy with clean microfiber cloths.  I don't trust myself with a power buffer and working with the cloths allows me to get to all tight areas with no fear of damage.

I might try the ice at some point but I already have a bunch of Meguiars products and find it easier to only learn one product line. It is nice to know there are some options that seem pretty easy to use. Our cars might actually get waxed if that's the case. I guess I will have to wash them too...

I like the clay bar because it clears the tiny debris you can't see off of the paint.  The paint surface feels soooo slippery and slick after going over it with clay.  Not sure it makes the paint any shinier after waxing, but certainly makes it feel smoother to the touch.

+1 on the clay bar as the first step, it works good on glass too.  I prefer Mothers products.

Griot's does make some really good products but they can be pricey. I use to get their catalog. Lot's of neat tools and products
