  1. Okay I'm a pervert, I'll admit that but I apologize for going to the dark side after reading the above. Would someone please agree with me? Steve is my hero and I don't wish to upset him.
  2. Boy oh boy! That's NSFW (almost). I must congratulate you on walking the wire, tip toeing around there. Excellent job Steve!
  3. That's absolutely true. My fuel rail is cool to the touch. I consider it an open system. I used a '78 fpr with one in and one out. It constantly flows fuel.
  4. Here's what I did for about $50. The end of the job...
  5. You're asking us with all that experience? We need you!
  6. I'll add don't overthink or get intimidated, just get a good plan after researching the previous posts. It's really easy. I did my 1st one by myself after reading this book. It's the Z Bible if you ask me. https://www.amazon.com/Rebuild-Nissan-Datsun-Engine-Publisher/dp/B004X9A0OA
  7. Set some time aside and read. It's been gone over many times and you will learn the tricks/shortcuts. Very easy with the right preparations. https://www.google.com/search?q=280z+engine+removal+classiczcars.com+&client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&source=android-home&source=hp&ei=WpdPYdLgGsKygge18KiwCQ&oq=280z+engine+removal+classiczcars.com+&gs_lcp=ChFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocBADMgUIIRCgATIFCCEQoAEyBQghEKsCMgUIIRCrAjIFCCEQqwI6AggpOgUIKRCgAToECCkQRzoFCCkQgAQ6BwgpEAoQoAE6BggpEBYQHjoECCkQCjoNCCkQxwEQrwEQDRCTAjoOCAAQ6gIQjwEQjAMQ5QI6BQgAEIAEOgsILhCABBCxAxCDAToICC4Q
  8. Yes, pretty much narrows it down to the rear carburetor. I'm not sure if the SUs have an idle circuit but that's what it sounds like.
  9. A quick google, I was looking for Tabco but they don't have anything. Good luck! https://www.google.com/search?q=datsun+280z+lower+radiator+support&client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&ei=OYZPYc-qGt2awbkPxYWoqAY&oq=datsun+280z+lower+rad&gs_lcp=ChNtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1zZXJwEAEYATIFCCEQoAEyBQghEKABMgUIIRCgATIICCEQFhAdEB4yCAghEBYQHRAeOgQIABBHOgYIABAHEB46BQgAEM0COgQIABANOggIABANEAUQHjoFCAAQgAQ6BggAEAUQHjoICAAQBxAFEB46BAgeEAo6BwghEAoQoAE6BQghEKsCOgYIABAWEB5QlxRYu-YBYPj3AWgBcAF4AIAB0wGIAaEokgEGMi4zNi4xmAEAoAEByAEIwAEB&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-serp
  10. Those dopes that have TV shows for living in Alaska need a little covid. That's what I consider ironic. They go off grid and then have a production crew around all the time.
  11. I've used futofab for parts simply because of the shipping prices. I live closer to the East coast so he saves me a good bit. But he has been very helpful as far as a gentleman that owns a business. I give him 5 stars! Would buy from him again.
  12. There's 3 kinds of jobs in my experience. 1. Wash your after the restroom. 2. Wash your hands before the restroom. 3. Wash before AND after. I've always washed mine beforehand. That's because I hated school and wound up working in the service businesses. I'm a hands on type guy that gets a good feeling helping those that can't help themselves. The pay sucks but money has never been a priority in my life. My parents always gave me a good life and i loved them for that. I'm so thankful for you guys positive comments on my ife decision to go to less stress/less money. I do not ca
  13. BCDD ? Maybe? https://www.google.com/search?q=bcdd+adjust+classiczcars.com+&client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&source=android-home&source=hp&ei=Wb5MYZ6mBo2Nr7wP9suXqAI&oq=bcdd+adjust+classiczcars.com+&gs_lcp=ChFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocBADMgUIIRCgATIFCCEQqwIyBQghEKsCMgUIIRCrAjoCCCk6BggpEBYQHjoFCCkQgAQ6BAgpEA06DQgpEMcBEK8BEA0QkwI6CAgpEIAEELEDOgUIKRCgAToOCAAQ6gIQjwEQjAMQ5QI6DgguEIAEELEDEIMBEJMCOggIABCxAxCDAToRCC4QgAQQsQMQgwEQxwEQowI6CAgAEIAEELEDOg4ILhCABBCxAxDHARCjAjoFCC4QgAQ6BQgAEIAEOgsIABCABBCxAxCDAToICC4QsQMQgwE6CwguEIAEEMcBEKMCOgsILhCxAxDHARCjAjoOCC4QgAQQsQMQxwE
  14. I've got a few more years before I can retire so I figure I'll make them the best I can. I didn't really want to post about something so personal but now I'm glad I did. All the positive replies from you guys have really made me feel good about my decision. Thank you all so very much! I don't like change but y'alls support has made a huge impact on me and my decision. What a great group of friends I have here! I only hope my contributions are helpful to someone. 1 person at least and I sleep good tonight.
  15. Look for cracks or jump marks on your cap. They look like small lightning bolts to me. That means it's jumping spark from center to the cap points. Not good.
