  1. My bad. Did a search for alkyd-amino enamel and came up with the above. Sorry...
  2. a waterborne alkyd-amino enamel designed for general metal finishing. It provides a hard, tough coating at 2.3 lb/gal VOC without the hazards of flammable solvents.
  3. Do it at the Z shop. Even a $1-2k premium would be worth it as knowledge of some of the challenges particular to these lovely vehicles will pay back in the medium/long-term. Get some references or some photos of work he's done. I'm sure if his shop is that replete of Z's, some members here will know his work. Just think how pretty she'll look.
  4. I think those are the pre-restoration shots. He could have been more specific on the repairs, but they visually seem ok post-restoration. Still, a bit of a funny car. Why not spend the $350 on correct seat upholstery and look into a dash? Oh well.
  5. How cryptic is that? :lick:
  6. Yes. Same with the TT Supra Mk IV of the same era. There's a reason they are both holding their value and considered "super cars" by many. Gobs and gobs of consistent power. As for a TT build on an L6 not setup for it to begin with...monster job. Get an RB and you have Nissan power at least. I've even heard of some guys dropping a Supra 2JZ engine into for monster hp but if your not careful, the torque will pretzel the car. Dig around on HybridZ. It's all there. Good luck.
  7. If this is who I think it is, he has been discussed at length here. Ebayer who changed his name. Generally questionable quality issues.
  8. slick... "The exhaust note of the car speaks for itself"...
  9. For pics, I highly suggest using a hosting site like photobucket. It will automatically resize for you. Just use IMG link provided once your photos are uploaded.
  10. OMG....there's a disembodied leg under that car...that's not the right thing to use for a jack!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Hmm...not bad...always like an honest seller. You should see if you can get it up on a lift and get some shots of the underside. If it's moderatly clean, you could double your asking price. Good luck with the sale.
  12. Rust spots on floor = bad rails = bad battery = ugh...could be trouble... Or a great buy...but certainly not clear...
  13. Almost made me cry...sitting in a sports bar...away from home and my Z's...couple of pops in me...I think I actually uttered a squawk... Great ad
  14. Do a search for speedo gears. I believe they are colour coded to the diff you have. Wrong one will set you way off.
  15. Oh...and the TANSTAAFL coup de grace too... Bite down hard Justin, I think E is right. Even if the person on the phone induced you in error, there is a certain amount of caveat emptor involved in the due diligence on the purchase. Troll the sites, you should be able to find something on line for a replacement, particularly on the west coast.
  16. Does anyone know how to rip a video from youtube?

Yeah, you're twisted...most of us share in the madness though... Welcome to the board...an almost infinite resource for your project... Just to help out...here are your pics:
  18. Welcome to the board, You'll find just about all you need here. Have fun with the restoration.
  19. Your car is canted over at 90 degrees. Attitude adjustment #1... Glad I could help make you a better person too...
  20. I just posted this in another thread: This is from the '77 FSM. You can download FSM's at www.carfiche.com
  21. Get the Factory Service Manual at carfiche.com Student discount pricing available (it's free). http://carfiche.com/manuals022/cars/ If the manual beside you car says TNA, don't get excited...it's temporarily not available. They cycle them on the hour as they don't have the download capacity to host all at once. Here is the fuse map from the '77 FSM (I assume it's the same). Good luck with the electrical challenges... Cheers,
  22. Actually, it's a vast conspiracy to get Z Train off his arse and go work on his Z... We're only thinking of your best interest...
  23. Hear, hear...healthy debate always welcome. Cheerz!
  24. O.K. It's 85 degrees out. Sunny day. Country road with rolling hills and sweeping curves. Not a car or a cop in sight. What are you driving? Nice site. Inspiring actually.
