  1. First, the Hazards work on a separate flasher unit from the Turn Signals. (IF the 73 is like the 72, and I *think* it is). Have you confirmed that ALL bulbs are good? Cleaned all the connectors? These would be my first steps in troubleshooting.
  2. Air Cleaner doesn't have the flapper valve
  3. Yup, US 1973 model, certainly made in 72, but manufactured to 73 model Safety and Emissions standards. Hey whattya expect from a Chrysler dealer?
  4. You can also get a Trico #11-601, which is labeled as a Honda replacement pump, it is exactly the same pump as the stock '70 - '73 windshield washer pump. The one exception is the connections, but if you have your old pump you'll see that the BLK wire (neg) has a FEMALE connector, and the Trico 11-601 has a MALE connector. It takes about 2 minutes to solder the correct type of connector onto the new pump. (Thanks Chris, I've added your info to my database of useful information.)
  5. Looking Good Chris. You'll be pleased as punch when you see how well that tool works! "Ditto" (Thanks to Gary for lending his tool when I needed it)
  6. Yeah, I guess it's CDM. I have to take the credit for leaving the car parked in a lot unattended so that some foolio could mash my "less than 60-day old" new bumper into a "W" shape, and making my hood look like it had a hair-lip. No insurance at the time either. Grrrr. :stupid:
  7. Ha Ha, Iwas going to post that answer, but figured I'd just see if anyone else figured that out.
  8. Hey you guys, I HAVE two hoods, just that neither is on the car at the moment. No spare bumpers, though I'd part with my front bumper for a reasonable price. (you know, the one shaped like a "W")
  9. OUT ye demon of torque and horsepower! :bandit: (for the rest of you......it's a joke. Wayne and I are Z buddies)
  10. No one can stop you from voicing your opinion, nor does anyone wish to do so, but "run that by me again" how this subject is "on topic" as in "Z related"? And how does this site benefit from people getting bent out of shape and publicly complaining when their photos are "misused" "In Their Humble Opinon"? The people who really want to copy photos will do so no matter what you or I want them to do. This thread will in no way alter that. The whining of "All the kings horses and all the kings men are not going to stop people from borrowing pictures from any of us." (did I just violate a copyright? ) I support you or anyone privately dealing with a person who misuses "your property" as you see fit (I personally couldn't be bothered, but support the right to do so), but this thread IN MY HUMBLE OPINION provides no benefit to anyone, least of all this site/club/whatever. You certainly may take offense, but I don't feel that you should act like I was singling you out (note that no one else reacted that way), because that never happened. Incidently, I am quite aware of the irony of whining about whiners. THAT is exactly why I continue to do it, so the whiners might get a clue as to how foolish they appear. How IRONIC that I must explain it!
  11. I acquired a copy of this book sometime in the last couple of years. Don't remember where (maybe ebay?), and it is a good read.
  12. Respectfully disagree Enrique. Only if one is coming at it from a self-centered point of view would a general statement in a discussion involving close to a dozen people be construed as directed at any one person. I stand by my statement as written!
  13. Civil law vs Criminal law. Different standards are applied, I'm sure you know that. Most laws do not cross international boundaries, that also muddies the waters in the internet situation we are discussing. Your post just spelled out generaly what is and isn't legal and the concept of "bordering on criminal behavior" didn't come up. That's what I wanted to know. "IS or ISN'T" "LEGAL or NOT" Maybe now this thread will die and we can get back ON TOPIC to Z's instead of this law BS. If someone has a beef about usage of a photo or post on this site, contact the admin & do your whining in private.
  14. Alan, where the hell to do get that I was talking to/about you anymore than all of the others who are complaining about this issue. There is no reason for you to take this personally. Grow Up!
  15. Mike: What does "bordering on criminal behavior" mean. Is it illegal or not. Laws are generally quite specific as to what is or isn't legal.
  16. Does the simple act of taking a photo automatically grant you an enforcible copyright to any and all uses of that photo? My (admittedly limited) understanding is that you must legally file for, and be granted a copyright. Am I wrong, or how does it in fact work. If you have a copyright to a photo are you willing to spend the money to enforce it; or is this just another WHINE? Ethics is a completely different story. wanna stop people from using your photo's................try
  17. Of course PROVING who owns a photo is somewhat problematic. If you don't want people to use your photo, you might reconsider posting it where people have uncontrolled access to it. JMO
  18. You MAY want different settings on different circuits that you MAY race on. Not every circuit configuration demands the same suspension settings for optimum performance. That is why race cars change shocks, springs and suspension settings at every track they race on. JMO
  19. Or what they are willing to put up with to have a "stronger" transmission. Most of the folks that I know (admittedly not a whole lot of people) who have a T-5 either in a ZX or V8 conversion long for a smoother shifting transmission. I have not heard anyone complain about strength issues, just smoothness, and noise in comparison to Nissan trans.
  20. Earlier it had a starting bid price (or was it a Buy It Now) of $50,000 USD
  21. Walter, when were seatbelts REQUIRED to be in cars? Were shoulder belts required at the same time, or at a later date?
  22. The POR PATCH paste works great, but I think he was wanting to have Metal Ready in a gel form.
  23. I understand what you are saying about the angle of the adjuster teeth, but I can tell you for a fact that you can use the E-brake too much and it will overtighten the brakes over time. I cannot explain the "how" of it, but I've experienced having to deal with it, when my ex-wife always parked on a hill at work and set the E-brake tightly. She didn't get to drive my car too much after that and a few other situations. EDIT: Maybe something was wrong with the E-Brake/Wheel cyl assembly that I didn't notice, and it got fixed when I took it apart? I dunno, but I didn't replace any parts at that time.
  24. Last couple of weeks here (15 miles from San Jose) have been quite warm. I'm lovin it. Our summer had been cooler than usual.
