77 260z parts car (must buy today)
Ha. I just stuck a SST automotive sticker on the back of my zed. I had it left over from the auto salon. I was going to stick it on the commodore, but then people might want to race me. I need a Front left indicator lense (clear type). Choke lever handle, air vent handle. Umm thats all i can remember at the moment. Oh yeah a 240z gearbox. Mine has a 240K box. And new rings by the look of the smoke thats coming out the exhaust.

Bought a 240z today, Perth WA.

Ah Houston, We have a problem. Man, looks like mission controll in there. What's with all the switches, lights and keypad. Is that a maglight torch you've got stuck to your Dash?- Bought a 240z today, Perth WA.
I've uploaded some photos so click on the My Photo Gallery Link <----------------- Click there- 350ZG - Very Bizarre - Tamiya Model

Here's a Tamiya Model of a 350ZG 350Z with a G nose! Looks like something they invented, or some modeller has modified a standard 350Z model, but it's all in Japanese so I dont know the story. 350ZG Link- Similarities between 240 and KGC10 Skyline Coupe?
C-Red. Post some pictures please, I'd like to know what it looks like. It it the 240K looking type. A friend of mine had a C210? series Skyline 2000GT (Turbo L20 6 cyl) coupe about 10 yeas ago in Perth. Pretty nice car, electric everything, just a little strange looking. Looked exactly like this picture- Bought a 240z today, Perth WA.
I just bought a 240z today in Perth WA. Needs a bit of work, but I'm up for it. Should be fun. It's my second 240z, the first was a 72 and in very poor condition. I Sold it years ago. The new 240z is also a 72, but in a lot better condition (not much rust at all). What's the deal with the speedo being in MPH? both of them were, but Australia uses KPH, and has done since about 1960something. Anyone in Australia with a speedo in KPH? if so what year car is it? I've borrowed a Digital camera from a friend and will have a few pictures up soon.- Interior Ergonomics
Yep we call it a handbrake in Australia, and as its a RHD, its nice and handy. I think since the 240z has such a tall transmission tunnel, and the seats are pretty low, they didn't want to mount it on top, centrally, as i might make it a bit arkward to use. My old celica on the other hand had a lower trans tunnel, and the handbrake was right in the middle of it between the seats.- ah ah got my new Z at last...
I've seen similar wheels on a 240K.- 73 vs. earlier motors
The 73 has other advantages over the 70 in other areas. Something about the diff being repositioned so the drive shafts are on less of an angle, some other stuff i cant remember at the moment also.- Pics of the 240
Wrong. A wing at the back provides down force onto the rear tires increasing grip through hi-speed turns and making the car more stable, no matter whether the car is front or rear wheel drive. Take a front wheel drive with a rear wing, thrash it around a race track, then take the wing off, and do the same and you'll notice the car is a lot looser in the back end. Then play demo derbys with it, and smash it up, cause rear wheel drive rocks, and front wheel drive sucks.- Moral Dilema
Ok time to play devils advocate. The guy has every right to hold out for his asking price. You offered a price less than he was asking, and he's got someone else interested, of course he's gonna wait and see how much the other guy will offer. You don't just sell to the first person that walks up and makes an offer. Just dont get into a bidding war. You should have told him that was your final offer when he wanted time to think about it, and that he should accept it, and not let him play you for a chump. Or maybe he is a wanker and there isn't another buyer and he's just trying to make you pay a bit more. When he phones you back say you've reconsidered and offer him a bit less than before, and give him reasons like (is this the one with the skyline box? thats a big reason to offer less, rust, missing trim all the usual crap). There are other zeds out there. How much is this guy asking anyway?- donor car for my 240z
We also have a lots of 80's model R30 skylines in Perth that were imported in the 80's as second hand imports (amongst other rare Jap model cars like r30 coupes, corona coupes, A friend of mine had a C211 2000GT skyline with and L20ET 6cyl. And masses of series 1 and 2 rx7's, cordias, celica etc etc.) Anyway the skylines have 6 cyl Lseries engines with fuel injection, and probably have r200 diffs as well.- Bought another Z today!
I think i speak for most 240z seekers in Perth Australia when I say.. ...I hate you! :tapemouth Just kidding.- Skyline boxes in a 240z
Gee. What state are you in? Did you buy the 240z yet? If its in canning vale WA, I doubt the same old guy has owned it for the last 15 years. There seems to be a little "operation" going on there. The only difference between a 240z and a 432 to look at them is the badging, "Fairlady Z 432" for the 432 and "Datsun 240Z" for the 240. Lift the bonnet and its a different story. They weren't sold in any other markets than Japan as far as i know.- RB20det position in 240Z
Member Cuong Nguyen would be the guy to ask about RB conversions, he seems to have done a few. He's putting a rb26 in a 240 at the moment. Track him down in the members section and send him a PM (Personal Message). Also try the search function in the forums to finds other posts about RB20's.- 1973 240K Coupe
So is it IRS or live axle?- If your car is a rust bomb........
Hmm, no ones bidding. I wonder why. "Well officer, I though it looked cool" Check out his other auctions for his home made rear strut tower brace. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34200&item=2400103437- Factory spoiler?
Yeah my 240 had the same spoiler on it. It was FG, and full of little cracks where it had flexed over the years. The UK market had a similar style spoiler, but much uglier looking, which pointed towards the ground more.- spirit garage s30Z racecar
VCD's are mpeg1 format, which should be able to be played with media player. DVD format is mpeg 2 which cant be played py media player. You have to use winDVD or PowerDVD or some other dvd player software. If the CD is in the proper VCD format any standalone (read: box that plugs into you tv) player should be able to play it. Copyright infringement is a bad thing, if you are the one that owns the rights it could result in loss of income. on the other hand it could result in many people wanting to purchase the original. Posting the video on this site would potentially leave the site operaters and the host open to legal action, as the guys from napster found out. Anybody heard of Imesh or Kazaa?- Just Bought a 240Z Need Info
I've seen the Licence plate ZED ...on a red '84 model 300zx. Sacrilege!- LHD 240Z in 1969 TOKYO auto show
In Australia a Mitsubishi Colt was a small 4 door front wheel drive hatchback. (known as a mirage in other countries I believe) The Mitsubishi Starion was a 2 door rwd turbo sports car. They also made a Cordia which was a 2 door front wheel drive in turbo and non turbo. Why the hell are we talking about Bitzashitties?- Z.com is up and running....
Ha ha. Another reason why Flash should be permenantly banned from the internet. I'll wait for a decent html version. Flash sux. Sure it's good for little logos and stuff, but I really hate it when people make whole sites out of it. What? cant they program a little javascript? Make a little HTML? - White leather seats
