i had a chiltons book. I didnt tell me anything like that. And when i took the gear off, i didnt notice there was a washer in front, so it fell down near the bottom, I think thats when i let off on the chain. Man!. This suks!I was able to hook the washer bak up, and now realize it was pointless because i have to pull the cover. Guess i gotta take everything off tomorro.

Help me out guys! Im not to experience wit workin on engines. But i atempted to try and adjust my timing chain. :stupid: Now That i got it off, I cant get the cam gear to go bak on. It wont reach. I tried pulling up on it but it wasnt e nuff. Did i do someting rong or what? I need help guys!

is ur motor preped for synthetic oil? My 78 280 probably has 160,000miles and has never been rebuilt. It uses no oil. Do you have any oil leaks? If you use synthetic wit the original seals, it will develope leaks. Then you would have to have the motor completely resealed.

i was told not to use gress but to use silicone lubercant on pu bushings.

will 280zx head lights work on a 280z?

My friends dad had an automatic zx. He raced a 5 speed civic coupe and beat him. his zx was completely stock and the civic had some mods. unsure of wat it was. or maybe it was jus thew driver. If he has the vtec model del sol. then u wont win.

does anyone know how true this is about the nissan 5 speed being capable of 500hp?

I've read somewhere that the nissan 5 speed is good for up to 500 hp if its done rite . Im not sure how true that is so i wanna get some opinions

I want to convert to a five speed but dont know which one i should go with. Im planning on going with the l28et and hopfully running 300hp at the wheels. would the nissan 5 speed be good enough or should i give it the extra effort to go with the t-5?

Im tryin to decide if i really want the adjustable or non adjustable shocks. I fugure. if i get adjustables, i would have it set on comfort most of the time. and if i get ono adjustables. i wont be able to have as comfortable ride as i would with the adjustables but would save some money. So what do you guys think?

did the late model 260's have the same strut housings as the 280's?

I would sure like to have one of those motors. Is it posible to get one of those motors imported or are they almost imposible to find?

Well. Im glade i found my car and its still in one piece. But the bad part is i had to pay 215 to get it bak and the ignition is messed up. My doors lock is messed up. They broke my center console and the plastic around the climate control. And the stole my stereo. Im so pissed off but happy to have her back in one piece. The car was found in daily city and was towed to pacifica because its an older car. But thanks for lookin out for me guys!

My z was jus stolen about an hr before i got home from work. I live in Oakland CA. Its a white 280z with no bumpers and a front air damn. Has damage on driver side door and fender. It has black mesh wheels on the back and gold mesh wheels on the front. Help me out guys!

do i get inserts that are made for 280's or do i get them according to the length i remove?

im also lookin for a to do a 5 speed swap. preferably the t-5 but want to know more so i can figure out wat i want. does n e one noe if the drive shaft part is really ture or false?
