Tonneau Cover
Ok, so this arrived the other day and I'm not sure it's for a 2-seater...I'm thinking it may be for a 2+2 where the hatch area is a bit smaller. Does anyone have good pix of one of these installed? Should the cover come all the way back to the rear of the car or not? Anyone have one that is/was/has ever been installed or one that they are 100% certain is for a 2-seater 240Z mind taking a couple rough measurements for me to compare to mine? Also, there are NO shock cords on this nor hooks to attach it to the hatch. Anyone have good information on these parts? I have reviewed the replies to this thread and also the page on zhome that was linked to (even though that was for a '77 model).

Engine storing
beandip, 21 days since it began is considered an "OLD THREAD"?

What's it worth?
None of this appears to matter much any how since he posted the one time and it does not look as though he has ever returned...not even to read the replies. I sent him a PM immediately and still no reply to that either. Too bad...I was ready to buy it from him if he was willing to sell. :/

Rear Drums Steel vs. AL
A couple of you mention to use the stock drums...but what were those, aluminum or steel/cast iron?

Engine Stand Plans anyone?
Hey, I just though about this! Check out my Z car page, there is a collection of info and if you scroll down to the Rotisserie link you will see various Rotisserie plans...it wouldn't take much to modify one of them to an engine stand...in fact I think one of them is made from two engine stands! Here's the link: http://www.pape.ws/allan_and_rosanne/Z-Car_Stuff

What do I do with my car? Do I need a new body?
Hey, I see that you are on this site too. As I posted to your thread on zdriver.com everything you show in your pix is repairable. You just need a good body man to do it properly...no mounds of bondo!

Price & Disadvantages of Switching to 4Spd from Auto
I can also tell you the best non-eBay location to get a tranny from...ME!! I live in Cedar Park and have a 4-speed in my garage I pulled from a running parts car a couple months ago. Let me know if you want it (shoot me a PM or email). Don't forget to post pix of your new car!! Heck, maybe I'll get to see it in person.

I think that they typically go for about $100 per set of 4.

R200 Guide?
Gary, your link will not work; actually it's not a link but even when copy and pasted it will not work. Here's another thread where some discussion about what diff came in what car has been sumarized. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1568&perpage=15&pagenumber=2

engine /tranny
Sounds like what I stated in your other thread. How many places did you post this question? One is enough...
-
engine/tranny?
There are more than 4 bolts holding it to the block. I can't remember exactly how many though 6 or 8 as I recall. Are the engine and tranny in the car?

Intake questions
Glad to see you found the site and got your question posted. I'm sure that there are plenty of people here who know enough about these to answer your question. I don't know who they would be but I know that there are some like Carl Beck who just seem to know a lot of the history and various parts for these cars.

Tonneau Cover
After striking the deal with the seller for the one I am getting the above referenced post was my first stop and I already have DJACY's agreement to shoot me a copy of the installation instructions. I'm two steps ahead of ya.

Finally got an FSM
I knew it! When I was going back through some old eBay auctions last night I saw this one where I didn't win and immediately knew that it was you who did win. *DRAT* Congrats on the win! A great item at a great price. I did ask the seller previously and he had no others.

Tonneau Cover
How quickly do you want this done? I have a friend in Houston who reverse engineers things for a liveing and could ask him to work on this and whens it's all done it would be in CAD with exact measurements. Hmmm....maybe I should do like Mike with the glovebox and just make some of these and sell them.

Tonneau Cover
Seller set the price...I just jumped all over it like white on rice!!!!!!

Tonneau Cover

Stoopid question
Go look at them. The black plastic part on the top unscrews has the dip-stick attached to it. This is where the oil is and how you check it's level. People use all kinds of oil in there so you'd best wait on more knowledgable people to answer that question (I have hears of ATF being used though).
