  1. Well that puts me out. Maybe I can get a pro to buy a jug for me? I'm wanting to clean this P90 head I have and this stuff is supposed to be great on aluminum, no staining or darkening. So instead of buying the media, crushed walnut shells and the hassle of of this janky Harbor Freight blast pot I have I thought I would soak it in this stuff. Low and behold there's a youtube video doing the same thing. What could go wrong if it's on youtube? I'm going to try it with a spray bottle and my electric pressure washer.
  2. I've always used lacquer thinner because it worked good and was cheap. Not cheap anymore and it was hell on my manicure. I've read good things about HD purple on carbon and how well it works on aluminum. Anyone recommend this stuff? Thank you. Cliff
  3. Have you tried cleaning these bullet connectors, tightening them up too? Is it one of these you are jiggling?
  4. I have our friend @Zed Head to thank for getting back in line. We spoke a few times through messaging and the last time I told him I had lost interest and he replied "well it was fun while it lasted". That hit me pretty good so I did a quick read of the past 24 hours and saw @Seppi72 asking about his distributor spindle position...I got so excited I peed a little trying to get him the pictures and info before it was too late. That's all it took.
  5. If this was meant for me, I'm flattered, if not I'm a jackass. My surgery put growing older right smack in my face. The gray hair and crumbling teeth fillings I could work with but not being able to walk to my mailbox and weedeating was a sign from hell. I made it to 54 and fell to peices overnight. Messed my head up! Now taking it in stride I don't even have to try to be nice. I've gotten past trying to prove anything. Looking forward to share what I haven't forgotten about these wonderful cars.
  6. That looks fantastic! I bet you had a lot of lookers at the car show. Maybe take a closer look at the passenger's side. I can see some dark around the rear bolt maybe from being slid up a little too much?
  7. My OCD had me measure the thickness of the rocker pads with feeler gauges between those two lobes. When they were equal it was dead on TDC.
  8. From this picture I'd guess it's in the hinges too. Good looking stripes! Can't wait to see the finished car with the wheels.
  9. New these? Can you push it down even, after latching?
  10. If you add "classiczcars.com" in your Google search you will always find what you are looking for. Adding a members name, if you can, helps twofold in all my searches. It's helped me more than toothpaste.
  11. Moving it back that half a hole is important once you have the bolt started.
  12. Oil squirt hole on page 136
  13. This is tricky to do Here's from Tom Monroe book. 1st... 2nd... 3rd.. That's how it reads in the book. Hope it helps.
  14. Look at the bolt holes. @Seppi72 The right side on top and left on bottom.
  15. To the left
  16. Just realized, sorry for previous
  17. Check and make sure your fusible links are tight
  18. Google "280z vacuum diagram classiczcars.com" then click on images.
  19. You can put your nuts in a vice and make them slightly out of round if you have a big enough vice. Yes, I did that with a straight face.
  20. First time I've ever made the "AI Overview" on Google. No more paychecks from the library @Yarb 🤣 https://www.google.com/search?q=siteunseen+open+air+box+classiczcars.com&sca_esv=9d6e91a693a9bf2c&rlz=1C1VDKB_enUS1121US1121&sxsrf=ANbL-n6RF1BMMNuxsbt8oZxcH6vtHbmcyQ%3A1777806799446&ei=zy33acv4GryEp84PvbKmqAo&biw=1229&bih=556&ved=0ahUKEwiLnIq2_pyUAxU8wskDHT2ZCaUQ4dUDCBE&uact=5&oq=siteunseen+open+air+box+classiczcars.com&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiKHNpdGV1bnNlZW4gb3BlbiBhaXIgYm94IGNsYXNzaWN6Y2Fycy5jb21IlIIBUM0GWNhrcAF4AJABApgB7QGgAe8gqgEHMTMuMjEuMrgBA8gBAPgBAZgCBqACzwPCAg4QABiABBiKBRiGAxiwA8ICCBAAGO8FGLADwgILEAAYiQUYogQYsAPCAgsQABiABBiiBBiwA8ICCBAAGIkFGKIEwgIFEAAY7wXCAggQABiABBiiBMICChAhGAoYoAEYwwSYAwCIBgGQBgaSBwM0LjKgB5pRsgcDMy4yuAfKA8IHBTMuMi4xyAcIgAgB&sclient=gws-wiz-serp
  21. Just paid Hagerty's for another year of driving the Zs. After my knee surgery when I could only crank them in my garage now I get them out and give them an "Italian tune-up" at least once a month. Getting harder and harder to find the roads to do that though, my small town isn't as small anymore. Why would anyone want to move to north Alabama? It's nothing but mountains and rivers, I don't get it.
  22. I'm checking in. Thanks Captain.
  23. Not dead yet! 😁 I've decided to take a break from the interweb, paying bills and checking weather reports is it for me. You guys are my gang and I appreciate everything. I had a knee replacement a year ago and have wasted all that on the internet. I would imagine quitting smoking about the same. I'll pass the wand to @Yarb Keep the library open my friend.
  24. Too busy to watch MTV? Imagine that, your were doing life stuff.
