  1. I was going to buy a small igloo styled tent, $25 from Academy Sports, and sit inside to keep the mess down but to be honest it's not as bad as I thought. I'm okay losing a little. I put the parts inside the biggest plastic storage tub I had and put that in the middle of a 10x12 tarp, fold the tarp and poured that inside the tub. Scooped it out and put it back into the sandblaster. The blaster sprays my particular media for about 1 minute, then you just shake it back and forth and it starts right back up. It doesn't make any kind of "floating" dust, to my surprise. The heavier stuff like coal slag and sand will wear it out and make a bigger mess. This one is for parts that'll fit inside the plastic tub. I'm using 1 lb Cool-Whip bowls for scooping and figure I lost between 1 and 2 pounds (very little). So the results minus the PITA, plus I'll have to replace the valves sooner or later, I'll say 4 out 5 stars for the money. It requires some patience but beer helps.
  2. It says glass beads but it's more like pulverized glass, 80 grit. http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/black-bulltrade%3B-no-80-grit-abrasive-glass-beads I did it in a big plastic tub and only lost a few pounds. Did it on top of a tarp too, folded it up and poured that into the tub then filtered it back into the pot. I think there's a pound in my eyes and hair. I'll wear the hood tomorrow for sure.
  3. Is Chas, Eurodat, the only one using Nissan Fast software? I use the microfische on carpartsmanual.com but am thinking about downloading the Fast program. If there's an online searchable version I'd love to know, that's a huge download for my already full laptop.
  4. Does anybody elses wipers lift off the windshield at high speeds? I must need new springs in the arms.
  5. $48 plus $32 for media that I'm reusing. Gotta get it dialed in mo betta but it's going to work good for my minimum use. EDIT: Sorry for the sideways pics, couldn't get my Bluetooth to transfer pics from my phone to my PC. That's a problem for another day. Intakes and balance tube tomorrow.
  6. That's my life! I've got a $7,500 lawn mower and my yard looks just like my neighbors.
  7. When I rebuilt my 2.8 with cast iron rings, the temperature gauge let me know when it was broken in. It ran a lot cooler. I know there's no hills in Florida so what are you doing for the decelerating pressure build up? Parking decks? I went to a wedding in Blue Mountain. We laughed about that name. My machinist is the only one laughing now. I'm about to pull my hair out waiting on him.
  8. Looks good! About as deep as my E31, eeks from me too until I opened up the chambers for the valves. These worked good for me,
  9. I've got a greenish grey one too but it just has "YEC" stamped in it, aluminium contacts. Your's could be original.
  10. Flat push on retainers for connecting it to the lense. Like these. EDIT: You can see the white plastic on the middle post in that picture. 2nd EDIT: Don't forget to paint the inside with white spray paint. Thanks Dr 240Z.
  11. That's what mine looked like after I twisted it loose. I think it's the same plastic just missing the chrome coating.
  12. I've bought two sets from Direct Tire. Look for sales around holidays, Fathers Day possibly. You can get the same lug nuts off e-bay for $15 instead of paying them $45. EDIT: They fit my '77 280 also
  13. I used these after grinding down the sides so they would fit. Bought them at a chain hardware store. I didn't buy new trim, just polished up a set but ran into that same problem after I separated the lense from the body. Just an FYI.
  14. I'd pay $100 for that. I've spent $100 on some things I don't even remember the next day. LMFAO!
  15. Are you going to use the E88 header or get a new one? Ive read square covers round ports but not vice versa and was wondering for future head swaps.
  16. Your second picture looks like one of the pistons out of a boat motor I locked up. Pieces of the rings gouged holes like that.
  17. Here's a good read with plenty of great pictures on our fuel tanks. It got me to drop my tank and seal it with Red-Kote tank liner. I was seeing small rust particles in my clear filter too. I started worrying they could clog up the injectors, probably for no reason but it took that part out of the equation. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/gastank/index.htm
  18. I respectfully disagree, but to each his own.
  19. Here's mine from futofab.com.
  20. Does your fuel pressure regulator have a good vacuum hose attached? You could get a loaner vacuum gauge from an auto parts store and see how strong your vacuum is too.
  21. I'd put a fuel gauge on a length of hose and zip-tie it to the driver's side windshield wiper blade so you can watch it while you're driving, sounds like fuel problems to me.
  22. I paid $250 for the Bosch replacement, wasted money because the that was on it was good. That was before I found this forum. Fastwoman & Z Train got me fixed up.
  23. I too think it's possibly in your drivetrain, FWIW. Maybe take it to a transmission shop and have someone drive it?
  24. I haven't taken one apart but Blue has. http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuelpump/index.html
