  1. It was fun to talk about right after it happened. We were going around a sharp curve when the turbo spun up, the rear tires got off to the side in the grass then slid onto a cement driveway. Instant roll over. Busted some glass, beer cooler water and ice everywhere and we were laying on the roof (no seat belts back then, not cool). When the driver turned the ignition switch off fearing a possible fire Betty reminded us the lights were still on. I ran off and left my buddy with the ZX full of beer. We were in high school.
  2. Does your daughter's car have the #304 sticker too? I apologize if you've stated that already but I can't seem to see/read it. I have a 9/'76 #305 original paint. It's differently the light blue.
  3. I can't add much more than what has been posted already. The book by Honsowetz is worth every penny. https://www.amazon.com/Modify-Your-Nissan-Datsun-Engine-ebook/dp/B0092WMDCK Then an older thread I found about turbulence in the intakes but that's also in the book.
  4. Way off topic alert- Smooth as a bowling ball down there but love fur coats.
  5. I think of it like cholesterol. My grandparents died in their 60s. My parents, their 80s with monitoring and medication for high level LDLs. Change with intelligence.
  6. Therapist? Soooooo how'd you find out???? You got me laughing Zed Head. Thank you. It's a lot easier to laugh tonight too.
  7. I'm using my phone now but have a lot more stuff on my laptop I can put up tomorrow. Here's some good stuff to look over from Kanga. https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-americamovil-us-revc&source=android-home&source=hp&ei=6CanX5HnJMWb5wL-ib-IBA&q=how+to+modify+datsun+l+series+heads&oq=how+to+modify+datsun+l+&gs_lcp=ChFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocBABGAMyBQghEKABMgUIIRCgATIFCCEQoAEyBQghEKsCMgUIIRCrAjoECCkQCjoCCCk6BQgpEMkDOgkIKRDJAxAWEB46BwgpELEDEAo6BwgpELEDEEM6BwgpEMkDEAo6BQgAELEDOgIIADoICAAQsQMQgwE6BQgpEKABOgIILjoLCAAQsQMQgwEQyQM6BQgAEMkDOggIABCxAxDJAzoGCAAQFhAeOggIIRAWEB0QHlD1FVjk8gFgjpoCaABwAHgAgAG_AYgBrBWSAQQzLjIwmAEAoAEBsAEP&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-hp
  8. Bitching Betty is what I've always heard. We flipped a ZX turbo and when we realized we weren't dead we started laughing, "ding, your lights are on. ding, your lights are on". Alcohol was a major factor that night.
  9. The thing that nobody can resist trying in their head is "race car is spelled the same both ways". You say that to someone and they get that spacey pause for a second.
  10. That's awesome dude! Congratulations, here again I'm jealous as hell.
  11. Baby pool? Nice car. Looks like solid.
  12. Interesting shop. I'd like to see an outside pic. Looks like it curves in? Cool!

    Pretty good looking Spam sandwich.
  14. I got mine from local Nissan dealership. Brownish color. Here they are @zcardepot.com https://zcardepot.com/products/valve-stem-seal-set-oem-240z-260z-280z-280zx .
  15. No wipers! 8 owners and no wipers.
  16. It annoys me when people in my life say I should sale my Zs while the market's up like it is. They look at BAT and ebay then advise me about cars I know better than they know their kids.

  18. Yes! A tube or four of silicone is needed there.Duct tape is a band aid. Do them from the inside and outside.
  19. I know Mr Arnett, it's a cancer. But I have it in remission. Thankfully I can get a new pan for that side.
  20. I'm late to the party but there's some oily plugs in some of your pics. I don't know what a reason would be so I'm no help. Sorry.
  21. You are right on that! OE scallop hubcaps would have helped in my opinion. Those on there are horrible. Oh well...
  22. That valve and the dense PO that kept adding coolant without considering where it was going caused the hole on mine.
