C’mon! Own up ...
In twenty years I'll post about how the 280s were used like a sex swing in my teens. Open hatch with legs hanging out.

You say no one in Panama can work on the L motor. How/who put that Schneider cam in? As I recall it came from Ebay crook California Datsun with a "Far 311" cam. Please correct me if I'm confused. Very often occurence with me.

Tranny leaks
It's deep down inside the housing. You'll need a pick type something to get it out and I'm pretty sure I used a 10mm deep socket to get the new one down inside.

I'm know E31 aficionado but mine has spent some time at a machine shop. Bigger valves were put in and the bottom was skimmed for true flatness. Mine... The "31k" cars...

Do you think the piton is making contact @Mark Maras with the plug? The hotter plugs are longer right?

Worlds fastest production car
A little-known American automaker has just snatched the title of world's fastest production car. SSC North America announced Monday that its Tuatara hypercar reached an average speed of 316.11 miles per hour during two record-breaking dashes outside Las Vegas. The vehicle, which was tested on a seven-mile stretch of a Nevada highway on Saturday, also reached the highest speed ever achieved on a public road, at 331.15 miles per hour, according to the company. The official top speed of 316 miles per hour is the result of two runs in opposite directions, to account for wind and road variations. SSC said that two independent witnesses were on site to verify the world records. The Tuatara, which has butterfly doors and produces 1,750 horsepower from a turbocharged V-8 engine, is the second vehicle built by SSC to earn the title of world's fastest production car, according to the company. It says the model's aerodynamic design was inspired by fighter jets, taking more than a decade of research and development.

Is one carb missing a linkage?
I'm probably wrong but I think the nozzles are held up by that bar? If one drops down you'll never get it balanced and running proper. It'll be like that one will have choke all the time? May be some way of temporarily wiring it up, I dunno.

One positive thing is you have the knurled knobs to adjust the nozzles. Mine are a pain to move up and down. Very painful on my sensitive fingers.

Yes. They will jump fire under load. You could remove the cap and take a picture and post it up. Somebody could see the the fire jumping from post to post. I had the same problem with my Nissan pickup. Drove me crazy misfiring under acceleration and all I needed was a new cap. $7.

You must change the whole wire. Like changing a known good battery to a suspected bad battery. Just use the two that are similar length. Take them completely off both sides of connection then see what happens. Wires go bad believe it or not. The ends get loose and won't "snap".

You have a bad wire connection in my opinion. Plug extenders are quick fixes. I used them on my dirt bikes. They are band-aids.
