If you increased the revs, would the pistons erode enough so that you'd have flat-tops, or would you just get lower compression so you could run higher boost? ROFL Meanwhile...if that is true, it just confirms my opinion of most WRX drivers aged 18-25!!:classic:

Just a quick opinion... Indifference is what is killing the world...I am one of the Nintendo/MTV generation (though I don't own a Nintendo nor do I watch MTV, but anyway...)...I am so sick of stupid f#$*ing peace protesters!!! Get your facts straight!!! Bloody hippies, fight for something good, don't let evil endure!! I couldn't give a fat rats arse about petrol prices, if someone over there is gonna live a better life cos I'll be paying 20c more a litre for a year, I could care less!! Doesn't anyone care anymore? All that these peace protesters want is no war, but what about the Iraqis who live in fear, poverty and doubt everyday! Think for one second you selfish idiots about what you are protesting against!!! This war isn't about oil, and post as you may back to me, but give me some alternative to war in order to help the Iraqi ppl of Saddam and his lunatic son Uday!! And don't tell me assassination, cause it didn't work before, and it won't now! This war has been going on for 12 years in one way or another, and I wish that ppl would read up on things before they protest/voice an opinion! Granted, I don't have a PHd in the history of this entire conflict, but Christ, get with the program. I'll only ask 2 questions to all those who protest against war; 1 What is the other option to get Saddam out of power? (one more poke at a diplomacy answer and I'll throw up!)... 2 If you think this war is about oil, then explain why the oil imported to America from Iraq is less than a 1/5th of their total consumption? (or somesuch figure)... I've never been this pissed at ppl or so aggressive about my opinion, but damn!! Cheers ppl!!! I am 20 years old...so I apologise for posting on this topic. Now that its pretty obvious that OUR (and I really emphise that, brits, yanks and aussies...we are brothers in arms) troops are gonna get in there and knock the crap out of Iraq (seriously, who does Saddam think he is kidding...SAS Colt M4 Carbine armed crack troops and AUG armed troops vs AK-47 armed civilians and a few pissed Iraqi soldiers? We have so many planes (A-10 are dangerous things eh!), helicopters, support staff, ships, carriers, tanks, missiles (gotta love the tomahawk!) etc surrounding the area, I think its safe to say its gonna be over pretty quick (history repeats itself)...I THINK, as it is my opinion, that Bush is pissed cause his dad couldn't do the job, and after America helped Iraq 25 years ago, then Iraq turned around and gave them the finger, and is now again...the US is pissed, tired of all this crap..and what about the citizens of Iraq...the general concensus is that most want him gone!! I would hate to be a woman in Iraq and be subjected to the $^!# that they have to go through...and I gotta say, if there is no war, what do we do? I challenge someone to answer that rationally, realistically and sanely! I don't like war, but then again who does! I don't want ppl dying for no reason, but here is good reason...Indifference will kill all that is good if we don't recognise evil and crush it with wishes to return home to find our loved ones secure and safe! I said it ina post a while ago and I will say it again...a new Z owner thinks he has a sports car, but unless he sees the ads and actually looks and respects the older Z's...he has no idea...just another suit in a new flashy car, the new Z really doesn't hold alot of interest for me...apart from a nice comfy commuter...too much luxury (ie weight), not enough sports!!! Give me a 240 or a 260 anyday!!! Cheers ppl!

Hey guys, I'm looking at all kinds of styles of front spoilers for my 260...wondering about members who have one on their car, the different styles, suppliers etc We could make a nice little listing for members to go and visit...if u have an aftermarket bar (including an aftermarket G-nose) then post a message with the details; ie Quality of construction, price, ease of fitment, supplier service quality, location and finally some pics so we can ogle them!! Been away for a couple of days...so whats been happening? Anyway, I've decided to restore my original mags...Mirror polished they look great, so I think I'll get them polished and then clear powder coated!! Thanks for the help anyway guys... Oh yeah...I went over a pothole the other day and now theres a clunking noise in the back of the car everytime the suspension has to work...could it just be the exhaust hitting the underbody (its a 2 1/2"), or something else...Its a longshot, but has this happened to anyone else? My handling doesn't seem to be affected, so ????? Cheers ppl!!!

I think that you're doing a top notch job there Mike!! The only thing I'd have to level at the site is these couple of points: -Too many links to news sites, automotive news (probably just me though, but as Bambi was saying, they need your details ie SPAM central!!). -The events section is never really updated...I'd love to see what events are happening up to 3 months ahead!! Other than that I'd just me severly pedantic...but yeah, oh, and good work on the new images bar...handy!!! Gotta say that I agree...and funny you should say a V8 isn't the best....the L-series of engines recently won an award as one of the top ten engines ever built for a passenger car!! So there!! But, I gotta say, if you want real power, but still a 6 and a whole heap of technology...go and get yourself an RB25det (others will say the RB26dett...but the 25 is cheaper, more plentiful, single turbo (easier to high flow), and makes relatively the same power from the same boost), and it'll fit not a prob (its also a whole heap lighter than a SBC)...this thread has been debated plenty over the last year...go to the engine section in forum threads and you'll see what I mean. Just my 2/400ths of $4. Good luck, don't do what we say...do whatever you'll heart desires, cause its your car, not ours!! Cheers ppl!

The way that I look at it, the world has changed...no-one bar ppl like us really want a 'real' sports car...my brother has a 97' Supra TT, its bloody fast (320hp at the wheels!), but its got climate control, big stereo, big heavy(!) wheels, cruise control, electric mirror, seats, windows, heated seats and mirrors (to defog them) etc etc...so its a luxury car with nice suspension and a f'ing powerful engine!! But 1 look at my Z, lightweight, no power steering, no air conditioning and realise what I love...don't get me wrong, I like to be comfortable (I'm gonna retrim the interior in leather), but there is no way that I'm gonna put a huge subwoofer in the car and rice it up!! I like it the way that it is, albeit with an interior! I like the car for the car and a few nicities...as opposed to a moving theater! Besides, you can't hear his muffled turbo engine, but if you jump in the Z, you can hear everything (especially the intake roar, gotta love it!!! In summary, I think the 350z is a fast Magna...with Audi TT styling, nice sure, but not a real drivers car...by any stretch of the imagination! My 1/50th of $1 Cheers ppl!!

Leeroy...my usual nickname, I actually got it whilst I was managing the spare parts department at a Yamaha Dealership. I used to have a brand new TTR-250 Enduro motocrosser...3rd love of my life (Z and the missus come first)...anyway, a woman pulled out of a sidestreet and hit me whilst I was going through the intersection...I flew straight over her bonnet, missed an oncoming bus (THANKFULLY!!), and hit brand new tarmac...tore the right thigh muscle in half, broke a couple of fingers, got pretty serous abrasions to my legs and stomach, but I always wear a helmet and body armour, so I would most likely be dead now if it wasn't for them(!). BTW, whilst I was bleeding and in shock on the ground, and she KNOWING FULL WELL that it was her fault, came over to me and told me that I was a young hooligan!!!!!!! Anyway, cut an already long story short, the workshop manager came and picked up my bike (bent to 45 degrees!), and I went to hospital...when I came back to work, I got the title 'bad leeroy brown', don't get me wrong, I'm anglo saxon (read: white), but it was the coolest nickname that I ever had!!! So Leeroy stuck... So yeah, any other stories (fit to hear*S*)...

Advice is something that is best taken in pieces...disect what is important and relevant, and store the rest in case it becomes important and relevant later...and then there is our advice!!:classic: But seriously...EScanlon is dead right and offers some great advice, because that is what it is like working in a job you come to hate...you may like it in the beginning but soon enough your mind wanders and your body deteriorates; either that or you come to just hate the job! But serious...don't jump headlong into anything!!! Did you know, that 200,000 ppl in New York have psychology degrees, and yet most of them work in cafes, department stores etc because there isn't any work!!! So really think, and make sure that you know what you want to do first, and see if what you want to do provides good money, good working conditions and most importantly, that the field you want to work in has plenty of employment available, and where you want to live!! Listen to the guys here, especially EScanlon, and I agree that to excel is the greatest thing you could do because it proves that we actually know something!!
