  1. Five and dime, what size rims/tires are on the brown car?
  2. If I could give you two a standing ovation online I would. Cars and restorations as beautiful as yours inspire me and make me realize how far I have to go
  3. Why is the 240 look like he is squinting? All the other cars are wide eyed. I wonder what the animators are getting at. they seldom do anything by accident.
  4. not yet, but in 3 months this thread should have those shots.
  5. now that you mention it!
  6. D, I just ran this check. You will need a vacuum gage. I thought my brakes were fine for 3 years until I did the test in the factory service manual. I posted up my entire rebuild story. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?40535-Brake-Booster-Checkout&highlight=brake+booster Check out my thread here for a review...
  7. For me it would be panasports or rewinds hands down. I agree with Arne that the opals are just too modern or maybe even busy for the lines of a 240z. But at the end of the day buy what you like and be happy. Good Luck
  8. Just took my 3 year old to see his first movie in the theaters. IT was CARS 2. Not going to comment much on the movie, but I counted NO LESS than 3 maybe 4 240Z'sin that movie. Seems the folks at Pixar like us.
  9. Bravo, bravo... spectacular car...YOu should be Very proud! you inspire all of us to keep going
  10. That looks just spot on buddy! I have achieved Almost as good results with a silver sharpie. Really hard to tell the difference. I have only had to do one touch up in a years time. But stunning.. as usual!
  11. http://www.insideline.com/features/datsun-pictures.html#non-makeotot602111
  12. I have had this RT mount ready to install for 2 years, but still have not done it. You guys are making it hard not to start a new project. I have been eyeing that new strap at MSA just to keep her original. But this seems very tried and true
  13. 215 is WAAAY to narrow a tire for a 9.5" rim for a proper fit.
  14. When a kid passes by and asks his dad... "what is a datsun?" When your car originally came with 1 speaker.
  15. I think I just got caught up in the moment with all the suggestions for tires.. umm... .sorry...
  16. Before I can recommend tires, A subject near and dear to my heart. I have to ask you what is your driving with your Z like. It is sunday cruises? Is it track days? Do you drive it in the rain? How hard do you drive normally? Do you care about comfort? All of these is critical before I can recommend a tire.
  17. I just want to go on record as saluting you for 'doing it right'. I am still an old fashioned believer that you get what you pay for. I think the price conedodger paid is actually quite good for that type of labor and service. I think the results speak for them self. When it comes time to rebuild my calipers, they will be coming your say sir...Some things are worth the money, and brakes are generally for me a no expense spared part.
  18. This is a great thread! Keep up the good work. Seems like you are doing everything the right way!
  19. Glad to hear it, and I have to agree. I completely redid my brake system and the brakes kick in HARD. I put a good modern pad on them and I have yet to have any need for more stopping power than my 150 HP engine can make a need for. I guess to some more is better, but for a street driven car, the stock brakes when working well, are darn good.
  20. Those look awesome.
  21. They really do, can we have a side picture. I am still leaning this way! Bravo. by the way, I had to go down a size on my tires because I rubbed as well when backing up and turning. I ended up with a 195/60/15. But I could have run a 205/55/15.
  22. Must BUY These NOW!! Rota get the lead out!!!!!
  23. That is the setup I have been seriously considering. Please post pics once you get em on!
  24. Joker, I have told you before, but I completely fall in love with that black car every time I see it! Bravo. Remind me again, are those 15's or 16's.
  25. That is such a noble jesture JLPurcell, you are a giver,
