  1. Would anyone else other than me like to see a picture before they "make the call"?
  2. Good luck.....So sorry you had that problem....hope you get things straightened out!
  3. git......Something doesn't add up with your block. It would take a total idiot of a machinist to tap out a bolt hole with the wrong size. You do know that there are two different length head bolts.....right? Where did you get the head bolts? Sorry to hear about this problem. Motorsports is a good source for head bolts....I always use the turbo head bolts....they take more ft. lbs. of torque.
  4. Install Tokico shocks, Eibach springs and replace the bushings with rubber original rubber bushings. Keep the stock brakes ( rebuild of course ). New rotors and pads are dirt cheap. While everything is apart, clean up and paint the suspension. Very rare to have an original owner.....good luck. All of this IMO
  5. Dowell pin on the cam should be straight up (12 o'clock) and the woodruff key on the crank should be straight up (12 o'clock). Everything will be correct if this is done. Come on SteveJ ......tell him to download a factory service manual! :ogre:
  6. The O ring goes against the round grove in the tank, the face of the sending unit goes on next and the clamp snugs the metal face against the O ring snugged up against the tank. Vaseline will hold it in place while you stick the float arm thru the O ring into the tank.
  7. Nice gold Z behind Pete's Steve....
  8. Looks just like Eiji's custom pistons and rods.....wow.....don't think you'd be running pump gas with those chambers!
  9. Looks like quite a shim under the cam tower.....What head is that?
  10. The 240's already have the pedal box installed. You do need the manual brake and clutch pedals.....you will need the hardware from a manual pedal box to install the pedals though.
  11. Like I said Blue......Wish I could do the same to myself!!! :stupid:
  12. Go to: Zzxdatsun.com That's Banzai Motorworks....Hit catalog at the top......then on the left side hit battery. Mike sells the whole battery attachment hardware.
  13. What offset would that be? You may have to adjust the front valence for clearance on turns. There is adjustment there if you have a problem. Beautiful car!
  14. The Panasports really look great with the green......hope you decided to keep em! Great restoration.....looks like a ZCON winner!
  15. Nice job on both sites........Todd needs a bigger helmet! :classic:
  16. Rich....The roadster is just awesome....good choice in white! You do a really great resto. Can't wait to see what you do with the new Z. Guy
  17. I have pulled engines apart where the worm gear was installed the other way by the PO.......The engine ran fine reversed. I don't think it matters other than the bevel end doesn't provide as much contact with the oil slinger. Just my guess.
  18. Esprist......No problem....you did a beautiful restoration and you shipped immediately....postage paid. I'm thrilled...couldn't be happier....we appreciate everyone's efforts....our cups runneth over!
  19. Received my set of taillight strips from Kip......the strips are molded fine, but the chrome is more like a shiney paint......JDM strips have nice original looking chrome....looks like Randy's are nice too, but haven't seen them in person yet.
  20. Just too bad we don't all live closer together......but then we'd all stay in trouble!
  21. Thanks Jeff.....still waiting on my good friend Russ to get his dyno moved. Iimagine it should be close to the otherL28's I've built .....around 170 rear wheel h.p. , but I'd still like to know. They're just very fun exhillirating motors to drive .....nice street motors.
