  1. wow that is some really nice work you have there!
  2. 1 point
just engage two gears a the same time, that will lock the trans so you can tighten the nut. push two of the shift rings into gear to select two at the same time.
  3. indeed, I tried a few of the bolts and they were not having it. Its at a local rebuilder that has lots of exp with these, I like the fact that they are local saves on time and shipping (both cost and possible damage).
  4. Hi, Yeah their the same, I put a similar LED in the interior light and i had an old LED 194 type bulb in the map light. A bit fiddly, but it's all back together and everything works. Looking forward to some cruising on Sunday !
  5. A cool narration of Donald Osborne driving a 1970 240z in Rhode Island.
  6. Hi Duffy, Running 347cc EV14 Bosch, 1/2" height. My throttles are smaller, moved the fuel pressure reg setting to 45lbs unvacuumed. Sends a nice quick mist into the chamber. Agree my throttles are rated up to 70HP each, will never achieve the max HP x6 rating N/A. Believe part of the problem with ITB's, folks are over fueling these engines with big bodies and large injectors. Car is going to the tuner, taken it as far as my knowledge base. Self tuning beautifully but tuning decel is whole other animal. The lean spots at shift points and decay at decel is tricky with the distance of the injector to the valve.
  7. Yeah Eiji said it sounds normal too. I appreciate the reassurance. I'll just drive it and enjoy it.
  8. Sounds perfectly normal to me. L series engines always have valve chatter…..especially with a higher lift cam. I asked the Z Doc about this when he used to build my heads…..he said its the nature of the beast. You might be trumpeting it through the thin headers too. Enjoy it, drive it, L series engines are hard to break…,.believe me I’ve tried LOL.
  9. I hoooovered this from the interwebs. Probably from somewhere here on the forum:
  10. I'm not sure that 50 years form now, we'll think today's plastics are well thought out either. But by then the PC boards in all the computer control stuff will have cracked and failed, so the cars won't be drivable anyway.
