  1. Estoy tratando de volver a la vida este 240z. Imágenes 2018 cuando adquiri el Vehículo. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk
  2. "Collector".
  3. @Jeff G 78 I think he runs both on his race car? I have not built mine yet but I will use both on my e31 head with a Schneider cam kit. I have turbo pumps on both my Zs and they flood the valvetrain when I spun the pump with a drill before 1st start up. I read a lot of post with people using both with the higher volume pump. Actuall my 9/76 has both on the early n47 head from Nissan. That came looked great in 2011 when I bought the car. That's from '76 to 2011 without the turbo pump. At idle it barely moved the needle on the gauge. With a turbo Melling pump it sits halfway then I installed a new head with just internal oiling cam. Now it's 3/4 gauge at idle. My spray bar 240 with the turbo pump pegs the needle at idle. the melling 152 is the turbo pump. Cost me $60 8 years ago from Advance Auto.
  4. "For some reason" isn't good enough for me. I'd want to know what specifically went wrong. Was the oil flow satisfactory when the cam was installed? I doubt it. The external oiler system works quite well if the tubes have not come loose from the mounting blocks or the oil holes haven't become restricted due to build-up of ? Tubes can be resoldered and the holes cleaned with a torch tip files.

  7. Thanks to all for feedback. I think I learned what I needed to know as a result. Gonna replace seals and gasket today and get it painted and back in the car.
  8. No metal in the gear oil or the magnet, gear teeth look good, nothing blued. . . Just found this video where a guy rebuilds one in about 3 minutes. . . But I think mine's prolly OK
  9. Bingo. Thanks Patcon. So the bottom one in my pic is turbo. The overhang shields the oil line out the side of the pan.
  10. AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! I am not happy. This is NOT the smoking gun I was waiting for!!! Seriously though. I hope it works and you can move on with the project!!

Looks like American citizens are being detained with no due process. That sure looks political from where I stand. Trump and Barr want their own Sturmabteilung in the guise of Homeland Security. Still think it can't happen here? Thankfully Trump lacks the attention span and is too greed addled to consciously pull this off without tons of help.

We're getting in to politics which isn't going to go far. It's all clear, why beat a rotting horse? It just makes things messier. I do wonder what the magic number is though that will cause some sort of action. Is it a death rate, or infection rate, or filled hospitals? Even with typical politics, usually actions are taken to solve the problem, than credit or blame is fought over later. This completer inaction and effort to hide the reality of the situation is incredible. I can't even imagine how it will end. In my old stomping grounds the Dept. of Homeland Security is kidnapping people off the street, like it's one of the central american countries, instead of facilitating efforts to combat the virus.. Amazing. What a pointless exercise, people have been protesting in Portland for decades. https://theweek.com/speedreads/926170/dhs-secretary-justifies-unmarked-federal-agents-snatching-people-portland-photos-graffiti
  13. @Patcon ah sorry I misunderstood. I think you’re right that the 71B has a plate that effectively raises the height of the pivot. It’s possible that the 71A is just badly designed and always had throw problems, or that it relied on an even taller pressure plate that nobody really remembers.
  14. Also, the new NAFTA 2.0 just kicked in so no duty is paid on orders under $150 CND.

Okay, I’m stuck on something: I bought my stainless fuel and brake lines way back, and now that I’m trying to get them in, they aren’t looking right. Here’s a shot of how I have them right now, but I can’t find any good photos to verify that this is correct. The main fuel line is bent in such a way that it ends up on the left side, but that looks wrong to me. Isn’t that line supposed to go along the right side with the return line? The bends just look wrong to me. This all looks like a mess to me. This is supposedly the ‘73 kit from Z Car Depot by Classic Tube, which I’m realizing now was probably a mistake because I’m going with a ‘72 Euro configuration for the fuel system. But there are other issues beyond the engine bay. The fit is just poorly. can anyone help me figure this out?
