  1. I got 20” from center. The 240 has a muffler hanger bracket directly above the outlet pipe of the muffler. I offset forward in the car to tighten up the exhaust pipes he makes. are putting on a resonator it made mine a little more pleasant. But still nasty on WOT between 4K and 7k.
  2. When I rebuilt my motor I decided to delete "potential" problems. I'm a Murphy's Law believer and over my lifetime that has proved beneficial for me at least. You know what us poor people say "more money, more problems". More things that can fail. Break, leak etc. so if I don't need it it gets gone. It's hot down here plus my 240 lives in a warm garage so after reading a lot of threads I decided to do away with the extra heat. The thermostats go bad and the coolant flows through the carbs all the time, at least on the set-ups I have owned. I talked to Bruce at Ztherapy beforehand and he said just use NPT brass plugs in the soft aluminum. They would make their own threads, no need to tap the holes. I did the thermostat housing and the rear carb's intake. I left the pipe in between the intakes though. That rascal wouldn't budge when I tried to turn it out and I didn't force it so it still looks good and isn't all bent up. I plugged the red circles and removed the hardline behind the cylinder head. My car runs great and my carbs get cold to the touch in the winter, they are cool to the touch even in the middle of summer. I'm now race car mechanic but I'm very familiar with nitrous and know the cooler the fuel the better a motor will preform. Like I said it hot down here.
  3. Got the new engine bay plate installed last night!
  4. If I remember correctly @siteunseen has plugged those coolant lines.
  5. Good eye! No, all 240Zs only came with the handle on the passenger side.
  6. Something is going seriously wrong here.. I loaded a pic of the left extra handle.. and it did'nt work well.. my question.. did an early 240z have that one also on the left driverside door?
  7. I've seen the video to! Nice car. If my car sounded like that the cops would make a very small package of my car in no time! haha.. Those rear wheel arches are poly glass fiber? I'm just looking around for my 240z.. (i'm almost ready with my " 280zx 1979 2+2 slick roof restauration", here on this site to see!) Is it a set i can buy somewhere? I think yours sounds nice but my experience is that after some time it gets irritating.. I would install a (electric) valve, so you can switch it.. (also useful when the cops are in near distance! ? )

It's actually not too bad now, I wrapped it with those flexible ice packs immediately and kept a fresh one on it for the first 5-6 hrs. It's the swelling that really causes the pain, ice is great. I have a lot more parts that have to be wire wheeled so I figured I better get back on the horse, grabbed the clutch pedal return spring and cleaned it up on the wire wheel. It was a bit freaky.
  9. Thanks Steve. I have never posted to YouTube, but I guess it is time to learn. It looks like video works on the site when it opens with "Photos", but not with "Windows Media Player". Turn the volume up, you will jump when it starts!!!
  10. It’s on the shelf next to the DDT and the 99% DEET Off... Welcome to Canada.

Things (prevention) are more clear to a lot of people but not everyone. It really is too bad that mask wearing is becoming a political statement. This latest surge is caused by lack of social distancing, period. When people get together without due care and caution, there'll be a surge in Covid-19 in that area within a week. !5%-30% (depending where in the world they are) of hospitalized patients require renal therapy (or outpatient dialysis) due to kidney failure. Currently, there is not enough equipment or technicians to deal with a substantial surge in Covid-19.
