  2. Cheers Jims! @Zup, @S30Driver Having a good morning here. Janet is watching "Corrie" and laughing at me taking this picture. I'm now supping on the tea. Zeeelicious! Btw: The cutting board is from another nice Z friend: @Dr. 240Z
  3. I like the way you staged the Hot Wheels Z'z to the photo. A twist to taking the Z for a spin "around the block"!--
  4. Is that rust on the rocker panel of the white Z miniature?
  5. Must be some salt on the cutting board.
  6. If there is going to be one, I will be there.
  7. Also started work on the HEI ignition upgrade for the GM 4 pin module Opened the case, drilled out the new aluminum heat sink, and stripped and painted the case to get rid of the little bit of rust on the mounting tabs.
  8. Didn't this horse get turned in to sausage just a short while ago? Selling parts from a car you don't have title to is what chop shops do. You can call it taking a risk, or everybody does it, or what else could I do, but it's all the same. Big picture, since it was a divorce, you're probably doing somebody's dirty work. Tainted parts.
  9. And BTW... DMV.ORG? Seriously? At the top of DMV.ORG's website it says: "DMV.ORG IS A PRIVATELY OWNED WEBSITE THAT IS NOT OWNED OR OPERATED BY ANY STATE GOVERNMENT AGENCY." so forget about anything you find there. If someone is looking for info on Nevada rules, then they should go to Nevada DMV site. But about that note on DMV.COM? It's true. Sort of... According to NV rules, You do not need to have a title in hand to sell a vehicle that is more than 9 years old. Instead of the seller signing the title over, the seller can fill out a request for a replacement title instead along with providing a BOS. So while that note on DMV.COM is technically true, it's an incomplete cherry pick sound byte of a more complicated procedure. Here's the procedure as described by Nevada DMV: You must provide a properly signed-off title to the buyer in private party sales, family sales or gifts. Any loan or other lien must be satisfied first. . . . The only exception is if the vehicle was 1) last titled in Nevada, 2) is more than 9 model years old and 3) has no liens or the owner of record has a lien release, the buyer and owner of record can then complete 1) an Application for Duplicate Title (VP 012) and 2) a Bill of Sale to transfer ownership. So you either sign over the title, or if the title is lost or mutilated, then you can have the seller fill out the request for a replacement instead of signing over the original. 10. A bill of sale isn't worth anything if the person on the selling end of the agreement isn't in the legal position to sell the vehicle. For example, I can give a buyer a BOS as I sell him my sister's car. But since I never owned my sister's car in the first place and didn't have the authority to sell it in the first place, that BOS is simply a worthless piece of paper that has some words and a couple signatures on it. Or my sister could sell her ex-husband's car out from under him and give the buyer a BOS. But since she never had the authority to sell it in the first place, again... worthless piece of paper that has some words on it. I hope you can get an honest legitimate title for the car. It would be a shame to take a rust free example out of the shrinking pool and cut it up.
  11. Thank you, Siteunseen!!! I posted about my 510 and BMW 5 series wagon with the LSx 427 but never posted my last and greatest build. A one owner 38k miles 2001 BMW 740 M sport that I had a fresh built M5 S62 V8 swapped in with an ESS supercharger, 6 speed, M5 diff with 4 clutch upgrade, suspension, BBK, custom interior, wheels etc. It's an amazing car. Here is the Petrolicious feature on it. https://petrolicious.com/articles/this-engine-swapped-six-speed-sedan-is-the-m7-that-bmw-never-built The crazy thing is that I have owned 30 vehicles and the Z31 is my first 2 seater ever! Yes, I do hope to have this one done for Z con although I don't expect too much from 1/4 mile times since this is a heavy car and 300hp will be a challenge And Raw Brokerage is expecting 10k redline with the cams/berry rings!! The other goal is to possibly have this car done for a SEMA slot next year by one of my parts suppliers.
  12. You already linked to the Innovate, which is what you need. I already told you that will work. That is all I'm gonna do for you. Take it or leave it. The advise is free...not gonna keep rehashing the same stuff. What you need to know you can't learn from a balancing tool and a colortune...
  13. This is the story I got, Is it true? who knows. the car was sold to me as "for parts" no title" if I am to seek title...I'm on my own. Cap, I'm fully familiar with lien sales (did more then a few in the day), however...I don't have a shop and I know of no one that will do it for me. For now...parting it out is off as I'll be looking for ways to title it first, if that fails...its back to plan A

Jeff - how much HP are you running in the enduro Z? I ask because our earlier version race car had numerous engine builds and was mostly a momentum car meaning it didn't go very fast and hitting the brakes slowed you down even more. When we finally got around to building a real race engine (13.7:1 CR making over 300hp) corners came at us much quicker making braking a necessary not a impediment to getting through the corner. As for brake ducts, I run them through the 240 turn signal cutout and they are from a newer ZO6 Vette. I'll post a picture once the car is back from the body shop.
  15. This is from the 1984 Datsun Competition Parts Catalog. IMSA GTU 280ZX.
  16. Finally found my donor vehicle. Well I found it about 6-8 months ago but the price was too high so I didn't even bother calling to make an offer. I have been daily searching these cars on auto tempest for over a year and yesterday, the price dropped and I jumped. The car arrives on Wednesday. It's an 86 300zx non turbo auto. Base line model which I prefer for this project. It has 56k original miles and seems to be in outstanding shape. The oddest part is that it's never actually been registered and has instead bounced from dealer to dealer. All I want is a clean shell with good bones and a very nice black interior so this certainly fits the bill. On the engine side, Tomei cams, lifters and beryllium copper valve seat rings have been ordered so that the headwork can start. I estimate the engine to be complete in February.
  17. Well they are not fitted yet. But I'll be using some brackets/sliders from some corbue seats I had laying. Have to cut and weld them. Got them here in Europe in U.K. (For once I got a low shipping cost on a part for my car) http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/cobra-gt3-bucket-seat/prod_6052.html They are made upon request. Dont think they are available in the us.
  18. That's the look I was going for moelk Where did you find those and what brackets did you use? S30 yes interior innovations is who I worked with very pleased at the quality
  19. I went with these cobra Gt3 historic seats because I couldn't find a good set of original datsun competition seats.
