Like siteunseen mentioned, Early 77' (up till June?) had a sloped rear deck. Later 77' had a flat rear deck. If you have that part in a pile somewhere, It would be an easy visual check. My 370368 is a 1/77' car. A parts car I had ,#403569, was a 6/77' car. I don't know the particulars of Nissan Z car production, but if every car and serial # produced was sequential, It would place your 402633 as an early 77'. 936 cars in front of the 6/77 I previously mentioned. A wild guess on my part would be April/May/June? By my math they were producing about 5,500 a month so it would fall right in there. Someone with a closer vin and production date could narrow it down some more. Edit: To add more info, according to The Classic Z register, 69,516 US sales in 1977, UK=417 Canada= unknown. Lots of fun information on that site. From Aug 1, 1977 - Dec 13, 1979, They call it "The Bounce of the Dead Cat". Someone will have to explain that one to me. The most successful year commercially, was 1978.

The bracket and notch at the top of tne pedal came on all cars until the center console was redesigned. They were two verisons of the bracket, an earlet and later version. I posted pictures of the two in another thread years ago. The plastic grommet will usually still be attached tat the top of the pedal if the handthrottle was previously instelled. That is was what I found on all four of my early cars which indicated they came with handthrottles but they had been removed. Sent from my SM-T377P using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  3. Looks something like this.
  4. Thanks man. As of right now I am going to fix a few minor issues and just enjoy driving it this summer. It's already much more fun to drive with that ignition issue fixed and the suspension dialed in!
  5. The cable hooks to a small metal tab at the very top of the throttle pedal assy. It is a flexible cable not a ridged one like the chokes. They were supposed to be removed at the point on entry (dock yard) or at the dealership "pre" sale. Perhaps the dealer just cut or removed the cable.
  6. The description on those LED lights says they last 25 times longer than incandescents. Since my original factory installed incandescent bulbs have worked nicely for 46 years I'd be good for another 1,000+ years if I switched over. Might be worth the effort. Dennis
  7. That is Nuts. I use a small engineering shop who only make prototype runs, (small batch engineering is how they formed their name!). I'm not in the enviable to need them, just if it would help yourself. They're going to make a set of spindle pins and little bits for me.
  8. Jason, Yes, I have a set but you'll have to prise one out of my cold, dead hand. Originals are not replaceable! I've shown them to a few engineering shops, most of whom don't want to know. Apparently they'd need to make a special fixture to crimp the 60 degree collar onto the nut *just right* (so that it spins freely), and minimum 5,000 off. Nuts.
  9. Hi Is it a slip collar? Have you a pic from the other side? I'm going to see Alan for a coffee in the next week or so, i'll ask if he's got one I can look at/borrow to take to a local machine shop to see what they say about making a batch, if that would help and its ok with Alan?
  10. And here are the pics. It looks great!

My T3 coil overs arrived today. I got the MSA sway bar kit a few weeks ago. The wheels will still take 2 or 3 months to arrive. My buddy and I are going to start the installation of these parts when this oppressive humidity and heat start to ease up. A lot of work to do in the upcoming weeks.
