I talked with Fastwoman a little while ago and she said that she was going to be stepping back from the computer for a bit in order to spend time dealing with a health issue with one of her family members. I hope things are going well and wish her and her family all the best.

I'm still around, but I manage my own S30z website www.viczcar.com so that keeps me mostly busy there.

I want to know what's happened to @Kyle, @go z racer, go, @hls30.com, @beandip, @2ManyZs, @billcapp, @Ken, @SoCalZ, @ron carter, @byunique, @kmack, @Mr Camouflage, @Victor Laury, @Gav240z, @Z-point, @zfreak72, @mmagnus, @V8-240Z, @hmsports, @zztom, @Saint, @mperdue, @JLPurcell, Thomas Bond, etc etc etc... Sorry about the list, if you are or not on it... I just went through a lot of the early registrations since we moved to the very old site back in 1999. I was also trying to remember some of the very active people back in the day ~10-15 years ago. I know that Victor Laury is good, so is hls30.com. I also heard from billcapp tonight. Jerry Lynn did some excellent artwork for us, and Thomas Bond did our logo. All of these gents are MIA... hopefully they get the email from the tags I put in above and let us know they are OK. Mike
  8. The Mobile 1 75W-90 GL-5 should be fine for the diff. The Redline MT-90 Synthetic should be fine for your transmission. But, if you find any of the gears a bit " scratchy " with the MT-90, you may find that the GM Friction Modified fluid is even better. My Audi A4 Quattro with Brass sychros shifts much easier on the GM fluid than Redline MT-90 ( or Amsoil MT Fluid ). As does my 83 280ZX 5 speed ( brass synchros ) and my friends 2006 Infinity G35 Coupe with 6 speed manual. He was astounded at how much better the GM FM fluid was over the Nissan Factory fill. Just saying from personal experience...
  9. IMHO it's no big deal to tear them apart. I did it without watching the video, though I had a more knowledgeable person to keep me on track.
  10. They don't look too bad. The only real test is connect them and apply hydraulic pressure. Remember this is a metal to metal seal on that 45deg inner bevel you just made, so look for symetry and even shape on that inner bevel and ignore the outside. I can help with the tubing prep. Three things are crutial. 1. Straight cut with perfect tubing roundness. ie must use a pipe cutter, never a saw. 2. Inside must be deburred. You must remove the natural inward ID reduction that happens with pipe cutters. I use a tapered round file 3. File a 45deg camfer on the outer edge all around. Doesn't have to be much, just try to make a nice consistent pass with a fine file. 4. Blow the tubing out to remove debris before assembling. Ok four things....
  11. I didn't know Nissan even produced it, I went to our club's Fall swap meet and the Nissan dealership parts guy was selling it at his table. I might just hang it on the wall. All three Z's I have taken apart had serious rust on this piece. If you don't recognize it, it is the panel that the gas tank filler tube goes through. Chris
