Wimp

I resemble that remark. ROFL

I presume the rusty tu*d will have a utility trailer attached with all the tools and spares necessary for a complete in-flight rebuild. LOL

Just remember, if you go to the Atlanta airport there is a lot of construction. I think it's the North terminal that is all fowled up right now. So just go to the South terminal. you can easily walk to the other side after drop off or arrival

I took the plunge on both front and rear bumpers from these guys. Here is my experience.

1) order placed June 27

2) order shipped July 3 and tracking info received

3) order received in Ontario Canada July 6. I did have to pay $27 duties. The bumpers were packaged well with bubble wrap and some sort of cloth material. I was very happy with the product.

Overall the buying experience was good. Responses to all emails were prompt and I was amazed at the turnaround and quick delivery.

Installation: It took about 1 hour to remove and replace the front bumper and the fitment was excellent. However, the rear was another story. I had to chase the threads as mentioned by jfa.series1 which is not a big deal. The first attempt at installing did not go well. The bumper was flush to the body at the rear and the ends were flared out over an inch. After 5 or 6 hours of massaging the brackets and installing/removing etc. I finally got a decent gap all the way around. I determined that the initial install was putting too much pressure on the side brackets causing the flare out. Spacing the bumper at least 3/8” off the back using washers was required to get an acceptable fitment at the ends. Here are some pics

For those who are looking for some bumpers...

Tried to order from TYNDA that i found on ebay, then on alibaba.

TYNDA is located in Vietnam, and mentions they are manufacturing for Harrington Group (main europe bumper provider)

Website : www.bumperclassic.com

http://bumperclassic.com/index.php/about-us-team

Facebook site :  https://www.facebook.com/Tyndabumper

Alibaba site : https://vn1293675903ggbk.trustpass.alibaba.com/

Skype : rooney.rio

Took my chance, something like 650 USD delivered to France, plastic strips included (no hole drilled), paypal fees included...not VAT

Delivered in less than 10 days

Not installed yet, will wait for EuroDat brackets.

On Datsun France forum, saw that www.bumperautomobile.com was proposing the pair of bumper at 450 USD (no shipping included). Nobody tested yet...

You have the drawing attached of these bumpers from TYNDA.

I'm a little confused here. You bought these bumpers, correct? What site did you end up buying them through? There were half a dozen listed. Was the transaction Ok? Sounds like they came in a reasonable time

My experience with SS bumpers from Harrington is you must be very careful cleaning them. They scratch very easy and are not easy to bring back to the original shine.

72 body and block, everything else 71, Tokico springs, Illumina, R180 CLSD, 83 close ratio, 3.90 gears, Ztherapy SUs, BRE 15X7 Libre wheels and BRE front spoiler.

It looks like there's just one facility in Vietnam that's making the bumpers and selling them under a couple different business names and also supplying Harrington...is that correct?

Same prices for all of them (except Harrington)? At $450 plus shipping, that's a nice present come Christmas.
