Next project is designing velocity stack filters! I am attempting to copy singers beutiful design. I plan to build and flow test, and see how much restriction I see. This would be single layer or double layer of oiled cotton material like a k&n filter. I will also test different screen sizes/ designs.

First will be a retaining ring that has 4 machine screws. Next will be a threaded retaining ring. Which I believe is how singer is doing it.

Neat idea.

So why are you going to do both threaded retainer ring and little screws in from the back? Why don't you just concentrate on the threaded ring? You worried you can't get it to work out right?

I'd be more worried about the screws in from the back. Such a short threaded length. Fiddly little screws that you're going to drop and lose on the floor. No room for locking hardware and vibrating out, etc.

Threaded or screws, to see which works better. I am also going to explorer a more full "bell" shape to see if I can not interfere with the velocity affect as much as I am in this design. But at a 4hp loss, maybe I just don't worry about it.

Something sexy to start the week off with. This is a stainless fuel rail for my ITB setup. Expertly crafted by Michel Vienneau! It features injector safety clip stainless cups, built in AN fittings and polished. I’m hopeful it being smaller will allow me to clock my injectors and hide my wiring a bit.
Now I can’t scratch it. Michel is a metal magician!
