Lots of little details make the Z432R interesting. Even the door jam switch for light has been removed. They kept the standard door card and didn't fit the pull handles. No cover for the handbrake lever either. Every little bit helps getting the weight down. Shame it was fitted with the heavy 432 engine, however they did build one with the lighter L24....albeit a factory team car.

The S20 and L24 are almost identical weight..

It's that the L24 has 400cc more, but the S20 has better breathing head for high rpm racing.

Carry on no need to get hurt.

Not hurt at all, I just saw the thread diverting into a bit of a sH!t show. With a dash of tit for tat thrown in. Much like the thread Alan referred to previously where the L24 and S20 are being compared. And whilst it wasn't directly purely at you, I just get frustrated seeing the same silly comments made anytime a home market car like the Z432 and Z432-R is discussed. It seems odd to me, when it comes to other marques usually there is respect for the "best of breed" version and they are highly coveted.

Here it seems that we want to find flaws in it and talk them down. No idea what drives it, perhaps it's envy?

You're blurring the lines between race cars and road cars again. I know this car rather well, and it is not necessarily a good example of factory specifications.

You know which car this is, and its history, right?

I forgot to say My 240Zs runs great ! Handling great !

Here are some pictures of the auction car PS30-00289 , I took the pictures 2018, you can see some items are replaced to be more proper . The exhaust system was not beautiful at that time, the bottom was loosened badly.

So what are the white marks on the glass? It looks like frost or cracks but is sort of hard to tell what it really is
