That is a odd looking dash vin plate every one I have seen is HLS30-xxxxxx and that one is HLS30xxxxx as well, the center consul is from a series 2 car.

There's a cigarette lighter in the dash above the flasher switch.....not like my '71.

I agree - the VIN on the dash doesn't look right - Looks like it was made with a Label Machine - and it looks like someone put a 72 Dash and Center Console in the car.   That or the VIN on the firewall doesn't match the dash?  Wonder if it has the original Data Plate on the drivers door jam.  The whole car looks pretty sketchy..  It certainly isn't a 1971 - has the 70 gas lid door..

That is most probably a January 1970 car...IF it really is 00863.  In any case, it's really, really rough with enough incorrect parts to make it not worth the relatively low VIN this guy is basing his value on.  Is that a sun roof?  Very, very poor pictures.

Not much left of that one. Looks like someone grabbed a bunch of rusty Z-car parts, and put them in a pile.

The engine bay plate shown appears to have engine # 3377 and car # 0066.  The plot thickens like curdled milk.

No, Jim.  I looked at that number plate very close and I'm convinced of the serial #s.  I am not, however, liking the dash plate.  I'll bet what happened was that the dash was replaced and the original plate got lost.
