@zKars So we have this 510 here. What motor is in it? Stock or not? Where did you source the SU's for it? I assume they are the smaller SU's...how are you handling choke lever control?

I need a solution like this https://www.compcams.com/big-block-chevy-crank-nut.html I have these for small block chevies I have some Nissan L20b's that I need to try to get free. We popped the crank shaft pulley trying to turn a frozen engine @Captain Obvious You feeling board in confinement?? I did some googling to see if I could find one. The one I have is too small. The Nissan crank snout is larger. I don't know if the BB chevy would be closer in size. If I found something close, I could modify it

Hey I know everyone is always looking for some type of different engine to put I their Z = LS1, RB20/5/6, or 2JZGTE, etc. well has anyone ever heard of the Ford Barra engine? It's a turbocharged inline 6 that puts out north of 300 horsepower. https://www.google.com/amp/www.caranddriver.com/amp/reviews/ford-falcon-xr6-turbo-specialty-file Sent from my LG-D850 using Classic Zcar Club mobile

The 510 I recently picked up came with an SR20DET but it was in poor shape and needed a lot of work so I sold it and grabbed a KA24DE and started tearing it down today. It's grimy and rusty on the outside but well looked after internally, I'll know more when I start measuring. The seller finally came across with the windshield, he bought it 6 yrs ago and was told it was the last one in Canada. At least it doesn't have a blue tint at the top.

Gonna start this thread for Cody's motor build. We have 2 - L20b blocks. They were missing the timing covers. The one we started with was the better looking of the two. The second one looks like it has sat outside for a while. The crank snout on the worse one is really rusted. So I bought the 6" inch "long" rods from Nissan. I spoke to Dave Rebello about a year ago and he recommended I get the Z20 rods. I've had these for about a year. Evidently these can be hard to get in reasonably closely weighted sets. 152.45mm rods So the plan for right now is to build the long block and move the current head and head studs over to it. The current L16 head has b…

After my transmission went out I decided to remove it all. From the rear main seal to the input shaft. Had my transmission rebuilt by Standard Gear & Transmission of Fort Worth. I got a used flywheel from the All Z Car Specialist of Fort Worth. Standard also resurfaced the flywheel. I used a harmonic balancer pulley to take off the flywheel. That way I didn't have to take off the oil pan and wedge a block of wood in the crank to keep the flywheel from spinning. I used a 5 in 1 tool to take off the rear main seal. No damage. I used a small 2x4 and hammer to install the seal very carefully. Make sure you lube the seal, crank, and block so the seal goes in smoo…

So Cody's Wagon is getting closer to being whole. We need to rebuild the 5 speed we had in it because 1-2 was baulky and reverse was stubborn. I believe this is an FS5W71B wide ratio I am trying to source a reverse idler. May have a lead on that. I have looked at @Dave WM 's thread, @Av8ferg 's thread and one that @EuroDat was in. I will probably use Dave's videos for tear down and build but I need to get all the parts here. I will also use Zkars recent teardown thread. Who did people order parts from? Can I just order a kit that will cover most of the parts I need? Do I need to order the bushing for the rear end (Titan bushing possibly)? I have Chas' part…
