  9. i agree with the sentiments put forth by my colleagues... (..... had to...) anyway, a 240sx of some sort or another would mos def be better; Zs are designed to handle

  12. first car - 1969 chevy nova. 'twas a 4-door with a 4.1L inline 6... lotsa good times with that car next - 1995 civic coupe. that car got me in trouble third - 1972 240Z, my grey one finally - 1972 240Z, yellow one. the yellow one's the keeper.

    hahahaha.... OUCH!!!
  16. i think my fave is the BRE with brake ducts... at least that's more than likely what i'm gonna get. but i will take those specs pennyman
  17. again, what i'm saying gets twisted. i'm not comparing the L-series to a V8, i'm comparing a like for like on a pushrod motor for a OHC motor. comparing an SBC to a stock L-series is kinda nuts; what i'm referring to would be an OHC (or DOHC) V8 to a pushrod V8 (as per one of my earlier posts) the reason that i am making these comments is in reference to the efficient was the heads can be set-up, i.e. multiple valves per cylindr, i.e. better breathing. if i was going to compare the l-series to an sbc i would definitely go a different way in taking that argument, and it would more than likely have nothing to do with power.
  18. nice..... i'll have to take pics of mine when i'm done...
  19. you need a little turbulence in the intake. i don't know why, i'll ask my dad...
  20. more efficiency per cc and weight? what i meant was: it's not a better designed motor. the only reason that it's cheaper is because it's easier to get ahold of. if OHC motors were more plentiful (as in comparison to pushrod motors) they would be as inexpensive as pushrod motors.
  21. "a pushrod motor" by way of SBC or SBF is an inexpensive way to go fast. the only advantage that it has is that it's plentiful. that doesn't make it better, just easier to get ahold of. pushrod motors are GENERALLY inefficient. i emphasize the generally because someone will definitely prove me wrong. anyway, if OHC engines like the SR or RB were plentiful enough, they'd be cheap too...
  22. heheh... haven't seen a few of those yet! good times!
  23. truth: higher lift = smaller base circle. smaller base circle = new lash pads. new lash pads = new rocker arms higher lift also = better springs (for MOST higher lift cams) it's probably best to do it right the first time.... i've heard too many stories about new cams getting ruined
  24. nothing in the ad really stuck out as being awful to me. even after i took a second look...
