for lift: measure the base circle with calipers. next, measure the center of the lobe. subtract the first number from the second. then multiply by 1.5 (that's the rocker arm ratio). do that for both intake and exhaust. to tell what size lash pad you're gonna need, you need to have a stock cam available. measure the base circle of each and then apply the difference

welcome andrea! you will get varied opinions on this site with the carburetor issue.... i personally prefer the dual SU carbs (as do most of the people on this forum) but you may have specific issue regarding the carbs, which may be why you are replacing them. there are kits available to do the 4bbl conversion; motorsport auto comes to mind. anyway, browse the site and ask questions, that's what we're all about!
