  1. The guy who claims he owns car #400 wants $4500+ and it's a complete wreck doesnt look to be many straight panels on it. Tell him he's dreaming

Yeah not a fan of that stuff it's not practical at all. The magic wand exhaust was hilarious but pointless. The only good looking car was the white 240z but it looked odd with a gnose and no flares. I guess you get rice boys all over the world .
  3. Thanks and yeah pictures would be good as Will said.
  4. I think the flat tops on the 260z here in Australia were the same as in the US. I tend to agree that you can't really say Strombergs were garbage anymore than i can say flat tops are garbage. I'd have a read at www.ztherapy.com and make up your own mind. in my opinion you should take the strombergs back since you don't know if they are the correct size for your motor and if they are correctly set for your car with fuel metering etc.. You'd be best off spending extra money on a set of 240z style SU's and correctly building them to suit your L26 once correctly set the SU's shouldn't give you much hassles. Oh btw the best SU's in my opinion are Hitachi Su's and not the british made ones for reasons as described in the website above.
  5. yeah i agree great read.
  6. I liked the Supra VS 260z Turbo video that was pretty cool.
  7. hehe the yellow car is not bad. I don't care much for the wheels or front air dam I do like the rear view mirrors. Only problem with the car i can see is the roll cage. I think it's a bit far forward and in the way. I've seen much nicer more practical set ups in a Z before. Why would you want a roll cage in a mostly stock Z anyway?
  8. Wow where did you find all those videos? You must be crazier than I am
  9. As for the 260zt video i cringed when i saw that. The tunnel does look wet maybe it had rained earlier and the tunnel was still damp. Looks like a good case of understeer into the wall and someone obviously smacked the back of the car too. They look like Panasport rims too. The turbo set up was really nice what a shame the car got so bent. I'd probably be looking for a new shell after that.
  10. Cheers mate I'm glad you enjoyed it. I honestly spent maybe 30mins editing it on my PC the soundtrack just happened to work. If you come to Australia your more than welcome to join our club . The next video is actually a whole lot better it's just getting a copy and capturing it on my PC it's a friend of mine's brothers video tape so I've gotta get it off him. That was actually a really bad showing for one of our cruise days only 4 cars made it. The weather was pretty poor so probably the main reason. The last cruise we had was awesome wish we had video footage but unfortunately we didn't have a camera on the day. Hopefully the Z Nationals will have some good footage
  11. Eric it's definately possible to get multi region DVD players although some people tried to block them from being produced it's definately possible. It's to do with the firm ware in the Unit anyway. My Xbox has been modded and allows me to watch any dvd from any region. My PC does the same thing asking about changing regions however I'm sure there are hacks around this. I would imagine a DVD player in the US is fairly cheap? they are in Australia anyway
  12. I also have some footage at http://www.viczcar.com/Videos/2004/Meet3/meet3.wmv I have another video to compile that I have been meaning to get around to for ages now it's a much better video with more Z's and I do a little burn out too . Hopefully the Z Nationals here in Australia will have some good footage to bring back as well as pictures. I know you asked for historic film but it's very hard to find i've found well not on the internet anyway.
  13. Unfortunately I've found it very hard to find old footage of Z's racing and the like. I'd love to see the BRE car in action but i've only seen a snippet from some old Z commercial. Kats has some footage recently of when the car was imported to the states that was interesting. I don't have the link to the 240z commercial here or the 260z one there are a few more 280z's then it's all 280zx and so on. If anyone has some cool footage I'd be happy to host it at VicZcar would be good for us as it would generate traffic and we'd more than likely be happy to have it there since we have plenty of space.
  14. i have both they are still uploading as Im posting so give it another 10mins they should be done.
  15. links should be http://www.viczcar.com/Videos/OSGiken/video1001.wmv http://www.viczcar.com/Videos/OSGiken/video2001.wmv Enjoy! :cheeky:
  16. i should be able to host it at viczcar.com hmm easiest way to upload it..thinking
  17. Probably because the centre caps are really expensive . BTW i don't suppose anyone knows how much Watanabe Wheels Weigh? Is magnesium alot lighter than Aluminium I'm told it is...
  18. They could be right and it could depend on the state you live in.
  19. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=14344 have you seen these my mate got them for $600 odd Australia off a guy who sells them on Ebay. They are to suit a HAWNNNDA but with 40mm spacers they sit perfect on a Z. He paid all up $1200 i think with tyres and spacers. I guess if you don't like the idea of the spacers the other wheels are a good option. They are 17X7 I believe.
  20. Didn't the 280z have some form of airbox infront of the radiator anyway? I thought they had it ideally located in the 280z correct me if I'm wrong?
  21. hmm they look like pretend 3 piece wheels . Do you know if they are 3 piece wheels or not?
  22. $1600 is not a bad price it's actually pretty good. I need 16" rims for my Z to fit the Z32 Calipers. I'm gonna save for 16" Watanabe Type - R's.
  23. I believe yes it could hinder the clutches performance but more than likely wear it out alot quicker than a normal clutch. You wouldn't want this kind of clutch on a street car basically because there is no balancing you either are engadged or not. So when you let go of the clutch that's it there's no riding it. For my Z I have a heavy duty clutch plate with high tension teeth and the actual clutch is the normal street type but it's heavy duty. It works really well and is still very light. :cheeky:
