max revs for cast pistons
Nick H am i to understand your the owner of the restored BIG SAM from the UK ? I read the article on zhome.com a while back and was very interested if you have any pics of the car please share . As the others say i don't think your cast iron pistons will be the problem in your motor. But that's from what i read not first hand experience. Have you read the How to Modify and Race your L engine? Book? It's possible to get a Z to make power above 6500rpm. My mates car runs to 7500rpm no worries it's the SU's that restrict him from there.

Wantanabe Price?
Thanks for the reply i had a think about it anyway and decided it's not worth buying even so that i could sell them for more later. So if anyone wants them there here at. http://octane.nt4.com/firesport/?section=item&action=show&id=5380 I wasn't gonna fit them on my Z anyway just thinking about them because I was under the impression that they were sort after and expensive. Thanks Again.

What engine does your 240Z have???
Currently nested under the bonnet is an L28 and i've never been late . It's a early E88 head N42 valves porting/polish elec ignition etc currently on stock SUs. I honestly don't think you need another engine unless it's for the ooohhhh! factor that most people do when you say the code RB26 but depends on what driving you will be doing and where you wanna go. The old L24 block is in safe keeping so i can revert back to original. Power is an estimate around 200HP. The old owner said it was over 200HP! with the tripple mikuni's that were on the car so yeah!!. Goes well anyway.:cheeky:

Rear Shot
Thanks Ben yes she's indeed very straight. Except 1 or 2 small dints that probably only i know of and nobody would notice. I have intentions of putting the bumper back on at some stage just gotta save the $$$ to chrome her up. And no overiders either . Your car looks nice Ben don't feel to down on it

Agreed not sure why you don't feel it flows Brian maybe the front spoiler isn't the best taste and maybe the flares arn't your cup of tea but it's definately a looker. I agree deep dish rims are great but at the same time I don't like color coated vents i have them on my car and after seeing this car thought black was better but I have bought a non vented bonnet which will probably take it's place and keep the vented 1 if i ever build a race car or turbo motor.

Adding turbo to non-turbo ZX motor?
I think a C/R around 8 or 8.5:1 would definately help with driveability off boost. A T3/T4 Hybrid would be good also to keep lag down. Also im sure you know things like BOV's help reduce lag.

240K 5spd
ok best way to tell is the position of the oil filler plug on the side will be on the left hand side or passenger side of the car. The main problem with the K box is the ratios there not ideal especially for racing. Other than that there's nothing really wrong with them. I don't know how by turning the crank he knew the only other way to tell is with the box out you check turns at the shaft compared with those at the back of the box. I sold mine to Alfa so maybe he can confirm the oil filler plug location. :cheeky:

I really enjoyed that care to share the specs of your car both in terms of motor and suspension. Looks like it handles on rails .

Go, AUSSIE, GO
used to be that way down here too but now they obviously feel it's too unimportant for a boy in blue to be doing. Did you hear about the scam with the speed cameras they've had here in Vic. Apparently one involved a Datsun 120y being clocked at 150km/h when the owner said the car isn't even capable of going that fast they drove it and i think it did a little over 105km/h top speed . They've had to do alot of testing as they were booking people for speeding when they weren't. There has been alot of anger here in Melb over the fixed cameras as they have been seen as revenue making cameras not road safety cameras especially in there sneaky positions.

Honda Strut Bar/Brace for Z
Ok so when they talk about drilling do they mean the strut brace to accomododate for the Z or do they mean drilling into the top of the struts on the Z? If I have to drill into the 240z body I'm not interested. Otherwise it's still damn cheap even after shipping to Australia and changing currency. Should see what ridiculous prices there asking for this equipment in Australia. For a commodore let alone a ZROFL
