Welcome Evan! There are plenty of young Z fans here, it's teh new generation!! A rotary in a Z.... hmmm well at least it'll have a better weight-distribution, even if it sounds like a squealing pig I wouldn't imagine 20B's would be too common in the states...!

  5. err are you sure about that last fact? This one looks fantastic - so damn cool. Looks similar condition to the one on ebay (frm pictuers anyway). Did you go and look at it Rob? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4552100914&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I love the shot of the 432 pace car at FISCO Alan. It looks like it has some kind of lip on the front valence on both sides? Was this a detail of the Z I did not notice or did they have to bend it out a little for the wheels... or something else? Anyway, thanks for sharing!!

Yeah just ask Mike - it's an easy task if you've got the permission!
  9. Looks fantastic Victor - now I think you need a wooden gearknob too!
  10. Can I ask a little side question - how often should one replace their air filter??

Me, actually completing a model?! HA! Naw Carl, I found that via Google and I do believe it is a pre-made model in 1:24 scale.

    It was RHD Jason!
  13. Wow! Where on earth did you find this Jim? It's pure gold - in English! I haven't had the chance to read it all yet but will do soon. Thanks a lot!

Wait! The racing ZG uses different flares and a front spoiler. I can't imagine these could be sourced in America. I am sure they are available though as replicas - in Japan. Best bet is to hope Alan sees this thread That is if you're trying to make something a little like this :
  15. The 1200 is seriously awesome
  16. Wow, brings back memories! Very well thankyou Enrique! Here is a recent picture taken by the new owner. They really came out very nice, and for anyone not doing a concourse restoration I'd recommend painting the grey plastic backing pieces white!
  17. Yea, but since the 240Z isn't aluminium the only economical solution is chrome paint! Which actually looks just as good from the pictures...

Patrick, you're a lucky man! So clean and original... what was the car's history?
  19. Yes they do mate - they have three per eye! Not all sharks but a lot...
  20. Wow, didn't think so many people would drive around without a spare. I'm going to invest in one of those "patch kits" I think. Oh and put the jack back in my car!! Is there any alternative to a "patch kit"? Space-saver wheel, but I dont think they're available new are they?
  21. Peter, I'd love to see your car too (in whatever state it's in!) - this weekend or next weekend any time is fine by me. Give me a PM to let me know what time you like! Rob, got all the cosmetics? Good job! How thorough are you going?? ie authentic badges, bucket seats?? Have you sourced some C110 rear quarter "GT" badges? Also, how many bloody holidays do you want?!?! Lord knows how you save up any money for the car when you're jetsetting around the world all the time! Tom, that really sucks about the tail light panels. I thought they'd be identical. If you ever need me to measure anything on the hardtop to see if it's different just ask! There's a lovely white 4-door going around my city too driven by an old couple. I put a note under their windscreen wiper a year or two ago you never know... Yes, the camber is a big problem if you go any lower - I had a talk with the guys and confirmed with King Springs that yes this is the LOWEST they make springs for the 240K. Insane isn't it... anyway, they are custom cutting the springs on the rear a little to make the car flat (at the moment there's about a 3cm rake). Hopefully then it'll look a little better. I think ideally the front would come down lower too an inch but I can only just get up the driveway as it is... gotta think sensibly sometimes. Bruce, don't worry I don't think I could allow myself to do such a thing. An SR20DET maybe... but not Toyota (even though they are great engines). I'm getting a new exhaust system on Friday.
  22. Why aren't you answering our questions?
  23. Yup, America actually missed out on at least ONE great muscle car... the one in the picture is an XA

Hey Bill, are you keeping a record of all the costs you incur with the project?
  25. Oooh nice Carl! What was Captian Hook's name before he had a hook for a hand?
