  1. I think it looks just fine!
  2. Ahh cool! I have a 1:43 Kyosho too - only it is the production model in silver. If you ever find another racing one, let me know
  3. Hi Zagato Z - If you have a digital camera I'd love to see pics of that model! What brand is it?
  4. I think that maybe it should be "beauty is in the eye of the beer holder"!!

Ooook! That is gorgeous! Mikey was telling me about this car. I love it! Again, there are a few things I'd change but damn it looks good. Interesting moulded-in flares on the front too. Looks like a pretty good restoration! And now you're turning it on its head with all this new mechanical work! Excellent! What GTR was the RB26 out of do you know? Are you going to tune it up at all, or leave it stock? Frankly, stock would be more than enough power for me. It's great to see you're doing it all properly too, suspension and brakes-wise. That stuff makes me drool... I would love to do something similar with my C110 one day, though I'd keep the Watanabes. Welcome

Since not many original parts will be able to be used, I wonder if Mr. Harigae will want to restore it with an "original" automatic transmission, or manual?
  8. Because it's meant to have one on the right too!
  9. They do look hot! If you're after that modern racer look. Would look even better with a tyre wrapped 'round!
  10. ahh its like a whole diffrent county innit!
  11. Not rare in Japan? Not in their day, but certainly now any car of this age is rare in Japan. They weren't rare in Australia either...... This one is pretty pricey, but it has most of the correct GTR bits on, and done well (dont know about hte white flres though!). Wouldn't be too sure of the '74 date as I thought the centre roof console came in on the GTX models in '75. The car looks to be very straight though, and nothing missing... For someone without connections to Japan, it could be the way to go.

  13. Ahh, monte carlo. I was wondering what it started out from. They usually do it to Accords...
  14. Peter - yes that was the point! He was saying the pump had to be set up to run like an EFI car. Now I'm not saying what he says is gospel, but I'd go by his word as he's done it before with the Datsuns he races
  15. OH so it's not driveable? I thought it might be a nice donor for my 5-speed swap.....
  16. yup, z31, you can tell by the bodyline through the door, the doorhandle, and the "wing" as Will said!
  17. If you dont convert, you'll carry a spare pump though wont you! Easy to change if you need to. I've done it 3 times now If you do decide to convert, see if you can check with the rules and regulations first. My mechanic told me its a bit difficult because you need to set it up to run for 3 seconds before ignition or something - like modern cars do. And I know you want the car to be strictly legal!
  18. Does it do it if you turn the wheel while the car is standing still?
  19. Refer to your sig!
  20. Sounds like you were the one with road-rage buddy. And going back to damage his car too, nice. :tapemouth
  21. Hi Kent - the fuel pump is the one thing that I've had a lot of problems with with my car. Bastard of a thing, I'd highly recommend converting to electric if you can (I would if I had the money/knowhow). Insurance for cars older than 30 years is great Good to hear its well on its way Sounds exciting now!
  22. You're right - if you look at this pic it's clearer. Definite 'vette door, the "Stingray" badge is still on there too...
  23. Yeah the car you're probably talking about is a very very tidy car. He goes to a few of the Z car shows and puts mirrors under the rear end of his car so you can see the beauty underneath! Good idea. Great car! Sorry, I don't know the owner personally. I think this is the car.
  24. I can't answer any of your questions, except the last one. YES!!!
