  1. KGC210 - what is that monstrosity on the boot of your car??
  2. No.......... hell even I remember doing that!! It was great fun.
  3. Looks like a very nice C210 - is it manual yet? Was it a Japaneese import?
  4. Thanks - I tried looking for similar products a while ago without luck... Will have to go for a hunt again. In the mean time, I have used a KRYLON Silver Leaf pen which is very good (best silver pen I've tried yet) but not chrome.
  5. Ute is just short for utility. SUV's are different.
  6. Aw, your ute seems to have been so popular that you've now exceeded your monthly bandwidth limit. Nevermind, I'll just look tomorrow. Anyway, welcome to the site! Not many Z's in NZ... would you consider importing one from Australia?
  7. Good article! I kinda feel sorry for the 280ZX though... thanks!!
  8. Not exactly a "Z Part" but it does have a Z for January! "Remember" calendar from my brother. It has all sorts of Japanese classics in it. Awesome!
  9. You could...... but you'd be wrong There are a few different styles and sizes of centrecaps. A lot of cars don't run with them in Japan because A. it gives that "racer" look and/or B. they're easily stolen. Check out my gallery for one style. They come in black too (with red centre logo) and also a smaller hexagonal style. Might be others too?
  10. That's just crazy - looks awesome. What are your plans with it now? I'm really loving the engine bay and the underbody detail!! Fantastic
  11. That's a bargain even for our Australian members! Nice find
  12. Alan had some very interesting info regarding the brushed on paint at factory... I searched but cannot find it. Sorry! In regards to colours, I would have thought it would be painted regardless of colour.
  13. You think you have centre cap problems......... you dont want to hear my story!! Good luck to you - looks like flattening the dust caps is the best (ie cheapest and easiest) answer.
  14. Thanks for those videos guys!! And thanks for the full story, Alan!
  15. Now if it were a 2-door..........

Ahh ok, misunderstanding then........ but that one is a Mazda Cosmo AP :nervous:
  17. Well, at least it isn't yellow!! PUKE! And yeah, it looks like its a very nice car (though I didn't see all the pics). Why rag on it?

Enrique, less time watching those cartoons and more time looking at cars!! That's a Celica. It's easy to understand their inspiration - of course - but understanding WHY is a different thing. I guess the Japanese have always been known for their eccentric sense of style... there are stranger car crazes!! (e.g. those big batman vans)
  19. Here you go Craig - you do know there's a Service Manual on ebay atm for 99c? Could come in handy clicky (510KB)

I wouldn't be surprised if the roll cages were just painted toilet rolls stuck together. In the video I had showing a very high quality C110 bosozoku car (oxymoron?) he tugged on the hoses leading to the oil cooler and they all kindof just fell out. It wasn't connected to anything. But still, add up all the components and yes, still a lot of money spent on these cars. Like I said before, I just don't get it.

OK, last lot for now. This is Bosozoku style. Cars done up to look roughly like "race cars". I don't quite get it either...

There's plenty more where that came from!

Here we go - hope you didn't just eat.

Hey Tom, you obviously haven't seen the "Yanky Mate!" Z!! haha... will try to find a pic of that.
  25. Yes it makes perfect sense. My friend is in Japan at the moment teaching (he was at the Nismo Festival too) and he raves about the huge number of events going on throughout the year. He goes to a different one almost weekly... He's more interested in newer stuff but still takes pictures of the classics too. :paranoid:
