  1. What about the Alfa GTV or the Ford Capri? I think in some respects the Z carved itself a niche in the market, that being the Economy Sports Car. Perhaps that's why it's a little difficult to put a finger on the Z's direct competitors.

Thats right.. I almost cried!! Then I saw the red Z and the BNR34, and I did cry! Luckily they dont look too bad though... The red Z looks like it will need a lot of work... Seems to me that there were a lot more crashed cars this year?! Is it just me??? Unfortunately I didn't get to see any of it on the TV...
  3. It's cheaper to get this stuff to Australia than America, I would have thought. But then because of our currency I can't imagine it would end up being too much cheaper relatively. Still, that is the price of love! btw, not sure how often that currency converter is updated, but I know www.xe.com is updated live, and from Australia much faster too. Easier URL to remember too!
  4. And thats the way this cookie crumbled. BBALLS, for interest's sake only, do you have pictures of them on your Z?
  5. Mmmmmmmm... *rubs hands*
  6. They're all pretty simple images - they should load much faster than they are... Probably due to the server being in Sweden though. Is there a delay with the mouseover images? I haven't looked... but surely you've got them pre-loaded, Mull? It's a nice original site. Doing it in the theme of a newspaper rarely works but I think you've got a cracker here
  7. Hmm interesting. Is "mustache" another one of those Americanisms then?? :cheeky:
  8. I'm with you Ben, these things are gorgeous. Why anyone would buy an MGB or something instead is beyond me!!!
  9. The correct spelling is "moustache" only. It's a strangely spelt word isnt it... your restoration of this part is awesome! I love the precision and detail. Love it.

  16. Fun Fact: The owner of Sydney's Luna Park in the 1960's owned an XKSS! I remember seeing a replica D-type once, that was incredible. And then last year when I had the chance to visit the Beaulieu Car Museum I saw a real one! Along with a large number of other fantastic cars in pristine condition. Definitely the best car museum I've ever been to... http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/ Vrrrrooooommmmm
  17. Sure Ben, I can wait!! (just) We never get that kind of thing down here. Although, down in Philip Island and at Targa Tasmania we get some nice cars come through... REAL D-Type, anyone?! Good luck with your paper :cheeky: I'm on holidays!! :D

  21. Wow! A red 260Z 2+2 CONVERTIBLE. It's in awesome condition... but worth the price? Depends how vain you are, I suppose! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2475776565&category=2030

  23. Yep mate, did that too! Hopefully shouldnt rust any time soon.
  24. Alright! Now I know allllll about the insides of the doors.... I took the whole thing apart, and gave the glass a good clean while it was out. You were right Jim, the little plastic pieces which fitted onto the glass were a bit bent. Since I don't have a garage and really needed to get it all back together ASAP, I just wrapped tape around the edges to thicken the ... thingy... It's hard to explain!! It's just fixed. And I also fixed the lock on the drivers side which didn't lock from the inside. Also, the drivers window was hard to roll down, fixed that too! I'm quite proud. I bought some sound-deadening material, so tomorrow I will see if there's enough room behind the interior door panels for some of that. Now, the real test is to see how long before the problems start happening again Lachlan.
