  1. Mmmmmmmm... *rubs hands*
  2. They're all pretty simple images - they should load much faster than they are... Probably due to the server being in Sweden though. Is there a delay with the mouseover images? I haven't looked... but surely you've got them pre-loaded, Mull? It's a nice original site. Doing it in the theme of a newspaper rarely works but I think you've got a cracker here
  3. Hmm interesting. Is "mustache" another one of those Americanisms then?? :cheeky:
  4. I'm with you Ben, these things are gorgeous. Why anyone would buy an MGB or something instead is beyond me!!!
  5. The correct spelling is "moustache" only. It's a strangely spelt word isnt it... your restoration of this part is awesome! I love the precision and detail. Love it.
  6. ahhaha what a dream! You should be a director

  10. Couldn't have said it better!
  11. What are you planning on painting !!!
  12. Fun Fact: The owner of Sydney's Luna Park in the 1960's owned an XKSS! I remember seeing a replica D-type once, that was incredible. And then last year when I had the chance to visit the Beaulieu Car Museum I saw a real one! Along with a large number of other fantastic cars in pristine condition. Definitely the best car museum I've ever been to... http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/ Vrrrrooooommmmm
  13. Sure Ben, I can wait!! (just) We never get that kind of thing down here. Although, down in Philip Island and at Targa Tasmania we get some nice cars come through... REAL D-Type, anyone?! Good luck with your paper :cheeky: I'm on holidays!! :D

  15. Oh!! I especially love cars from the 1930s - any more of those? Like the Talbot-Lagos, Hispano Suiza and Alfas etc.! Any more pictures you could post I'd love, if you get time!
  16. HOOOOOOLLLLLLYYYYYYyyy CRAP!!!! Some of those cars I have never even seen in pictures before?! That's rare! This event looks HUGE. You are so lucky!! I especially love the Maserati Race Car and of course the Alfas! AND THE BUGATTI!!! Look at the California!!! GORGEOUS! A DB.. 2!!! Incredible. I am going to die now... thanks!
  17. Wow! A red 260Z 2+2 CONVERTIBLE. It's in awesome condition... but worth the price? Depends how vain you are, I suppose! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2475776565&category=2030

  19. Yep mate, did that too! Hopefully shouldnt rust any time soon.
  20. Alright! Now I know allllll about the insides of the doors.... I took the whole thing apart, and gave the glass a good clean while it was out. You were right Jim, the little plastic pieces which fitted onto the glass were a bit bent. Since I don't have a garage and really needed to get it all back together ASAP, I just wrapped tape around the edges to thicken the ... thingy... It's hard to explain!! It's just fixed. And I also fixed the lock on the drivers side which didn't lock from the inside. Also, the drivers window was hard to roll down, fixed that too! I'm quite proud. I bought some sound-deadening material, so tomorrow I will see if there's enough room behind the interior door panels for some of that. Now, the real test is to see how long before the problems start happening again Lachlan.

Welcome Jim! It's awesome that you have found us here. The more the merrier. We've got quite a few Skyline fans here now along with the hundreds of Z fans from all over the globe. The Fairlady Z was just the domestic market 240Z (In fact, all base-model Z's have been called simply "Fairlady Z" in Japan, even the new 350Z). It came with a L20 engine instead of the export L24, for emission/tax reasons. In Japan they had a lot of different variations and options aswell - much more than we ever got. Such models as the Z432 like you mentioned, 240Z and the king! The Z432-R. If only some of them made it down here......! What a great story about the SP311! I remember just some time ago I saw a new Boxster smashed up backwards against a road sign one morning. That was a shock! A guy was fumbling round in the boot trying to steal the spare wheel... Anyway, hope you enjoy your stay here, and good luck in your search! Are you willing to travel? With our keen members here I'm sure most of us will have a look around for you in our local areas if you get serious about buying a 240K...

  23. Very, very nice. But for that price I'd be looking at something cooler... like a house. Are you sure it was the exact same type of car? Just that I didn't think the SL's were EVER cheap...
