  1. Electric purple with a set of spinnersROFL See, by saying this smart azz comment, you can narrow it down on what NOT to paint your carLOL Vicky

OK, back to trivia questions. Here's one What was the first year that american automakers started measuring engines by litres rather that cubic inches? Vicky

The exact amount IMO is................NOT ENOUGH. Zhome.com has the answer but I'm at work and really shouldn't be this involved on the web. Just can't stay away from this site. (Hey that should be a poll! How many folks log on here while at work) Vicky
  5. Already gave away a 1978 280Z a couple weeks ago. Hold on, hold on, it was a major rust bucket and IMO was beyond restoration, plus I have no more garage space. But I will find room for my next baby....an original Scarab by Brian Morrow. Ah... to dream Vicky
  6. Happy to hear that Bill. Glad he pulled through. Now you can concentrate on fixing up those Z's out backLOL Vicky

  8. No Hair types will tell you that they're more stealthy. Less hair means less drag, hence faster speeds, leading to more tickets and finally being dropped by your insurance company. Vicky
  9. Nor did they mention the No-Hair types either Vicky
  10. The only 350Z I want is an original Scarab built by Brian Morrow. I know, I know, it's just a V8 Z to some, but I still want one. I'll end it here because this could anger some Vicky
  11. Glad you had a nice day Chris. I'm wondering how that Mr. Clean Auto Dry Wash will work. Says it's guaranteed to leave NO spots. I was thinking of buying one. Go wash your Z and let us knowLOL Vicky
  12. It's a sports car, paint it yellow! Or.....any color you what. Vicky
  13. "Big Sam" would be my replication of choice. You can read all about this famous Z race car on zhome.com Vicky
  14. Thanks mperdue. Guess I should have tried a further search:stupid: I feel like a doofus. But now I have the answer to my question:classic: Vicky
  15. I've seen gear ratios from 2:56 up to 6:50 in a racing supply catalog. Can someone explain what the ratio is? Like for example, 4:11, does that mean for every 4 rotations, another gear, spline, etc. turns 11 times? If this question has been answered before I'm sorry, I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything:ermm: Vicky
  16. Zhead, I beleive those are Weld Racing Draglites. My husband has a set on his red Z in our gallery. They weren't cheap, had a hard time finding a set to fit the Datsun bolt pattern. Summit sells them...........but for a Z, I'm not sure. We ordered ours from a local tire and wheel store. Vicky
  17. Not on the dash, you'll ruin the beautiful lines of the famous Z dashboard IMO. Glove-box is my choice. Be like Monster Garage where the car must appear to be stock...........but is far from it:classic:
  18. I love itLOL Well put!!!!
  19. Simple, Z = Rock & Roll and ZX = Disco. Which would you rather have in your "collection"LOL 'nuff said
  20. I've always loved those, but I don't love 'em enough to pay $600.00 for them. The guy that did all the polished stainless under our hood could fabricate those for less than half the price. I kinda thought they made a Z look like it was wearing a pair of glasses anyway Vicky

Sorry for you and you Z. That's an awful crack on the front of your Aero kit. Did you not put some kind of a bar behind it? I think that same or simular front kit is on my husband's 77 280Z but he put a quarter inch bar filled with play sand behind the front and rear aero kit. The fiberglass is not resting on the bar, probably a half inch gap all around, so vibration would not become a factor. Our classic insurance (Hagertys) company would not cover any vintage car that didn't have some sort of bumper/bar behind the aero kit. If you had more protection in your aero kit, obviously your hood would not have sustained as much damage. Something to think about when you repair your Z. Just my .02 cents and good luck with your repairs:classic: Vicky

    1. Grab your calculator (You won't be able to do this one in your head) 2. Key in the first 3 digits of your phone number (Not the area code) 3. Multiply by 80 4. Add 1 5. Multiply by 250 6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number 7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again 8. Subtract 250 9. Divide number by 2 10. Do you recognize the answer? Vicky

Don't know if anyone has done this but years ago I would put a quart of Marvel Mystery oil in the crankcase and run for about 100 miles before I changed oil. It use to clean all the gunk and mung from the engine and inside valve cover. Don't know if this acceptable in today's engines but it worked in my "74 Olds Omega :ermm: This was way before my Z days.
