Stinken theives strike again.
Geez Bill, pretty soon these guys are gonna have your Z completed for you. At the rate their going, let them finish the car then you can steal it back from them when they're done. Can't you hire "Smith & Wesson" to protect your property? Vicky

Can't Outrun THIS Cop Car
Lambo Cop Car comes with a defibrillator. I believe I would be needing that if I drove that beastLOL Vicky

Totalled my 280Z... pictures inside....
Those big crash bumpers looked like they saved the car from a bit more damage. Look at the pictures of the front hit on the 3rd page of this thread. Early bumpers...........that hood corner would have been toast. But that's why you have insurance :classic: Vicky

Racoon Killer

What Does the Fan Clutch Do?
An electric fan is thermostatically controlled and will click on when called for. The fan that's attached to the pulley should run all the time........if it doesn't you gotta problem. Vicky

What Does the Fan Clutch Do?
The fan clutch keeps the fan from spinning to fast so it won't break up into a million pieces. Vicky

Last Oldsmobile rolls off the line today
Your right seerex, I was really speaking of American cars. I don't see to many Ferrari's and Lambos made in the 80's blowing white smoke unless it's comming from their tires Vicky

To all that knew James Burgess aka "ZmeFly"
My thoughts and prayers are also with you. ZmeFly was always very helpful and had something kind to say to all. He WILL be missed on this site. Even though we don't actually know someone, this forum and our love of Z Cars brings us all together as if we're in the same room, or should I say garage, discussing our beloved cars. Take Care everyone Vicky

Last Oldsmobile rolls off the line today
Well Stephen we know that nothing made in the 80's will even be around in 30 years. I believe the 80's to be the worst decade for automobile manufacturers. Maybe the Grand National (six banger too) or the, I can't remember the year, Monte Carlo SS (1985?). They were OKish. Seems every car that I see produced in the 80's (that's still on the road) blows white smoke.......I'm not kiddingLOL Vicky

Last Oldsmobile rolls off the line today
I think Pontiac is going to try and "cash in" on the legendary GTO name, like Dodge is doing with the "Hemi" that's mentioned in every one of their commercials. I'm waiting for the redesigned Mustang. Suppose to have a simular version of the early GT500 type front end........we'll see. Vicky

Last Oldsmobile rolls off the line today
The Dodge Magnum is kind of a hybrid between the SUV and a "Station Wagon", I agree. Looks OK, but I bet there aint no 440 Magnum engine under the hood Seems auto manufacturers are trying to bring back some type of "muscle car". Maybe they can get a simular powerplant but they gotta work on the body styles IMO Vicky

Last Oldsmobile rolls off the line today
The SUV vehicles have been the down fall of the sedan type vehicle along with many other type autos (1996 Z) IMO. To me Oldsmobiles have always been stodgy, other then their late 60's & early 70's 442's and such. Even in the mid 70's olds where thought of as your "grandparents" car. The stepchildren of GM is Buick and Olds. Buick will probably be next. No great loss either. Todays trend in automobiles seems to be BIG Trucks and BIG SUVs. Has anyone seen the Chevy Kodiak Truck yet, it's massive. Almost twice the size of my Silverado Crew Cab dually with the 454 and that's big. Gas prices, what gas pricesLOL Vicky

WINGED REAR
Nice. What are the black things behind the front wheels? Or is it just a reflection. I've seen the hood vents mounted lower, behind the front wheels, kinda like the 70's Corvette look. Anyways, very nice Z, love the color.

How much did you pay for your Z?
The Red 77 280Z was purchased for $7,500.00 back in 1998. The car was in excellent shape. It was just previously restored! We won't even discuss how much we've invested into the car to bring it to it's current state. :tapemouth The Yellow 72 240Z is a Factory Restored Z so you all know how much that one cost. It was purchased in 2000. Vicky

GRM 240Z vs 350Z comparo
Remember the first 350Z off the line went for over $90,000 via an auction for charity. Nice thing to do if you've got the scratch. $500,000 for a Ford............a new Ford! No way. The only Ford product I would pay out the azz for would be the 1969 Boss 429 or the GT500 like in the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds". For $500,000 I could have a base model Lambo Vicky

Dash guages, clock , lights etc
I believe the AutoMeter guages match right up. I've seen them in a few early Z's, look fantastic. Get a Summit magazine and you'll be in heaven ( you're limited as far as you can go with an old import). I would not get to ricey with the dash but that's just my opinion. Love the legendary look of the old Z car dash, quite timeless. Good luck Vicky

GRM 240Z vs 350Z comparo
I think the 350Z is to the 240Z as the new T-Bird is to it's original counterpart. Except the new T-Bird was a flop. The good thing that the 350Z has done is renewed an interest in the original Z cars. When you talk with non Z owners and they bring up the new 350Z, the conversation quickly changes to the first generation Z cars............and that's a good thing:classic: Vicky

Headers / Extractors
I personally like the Jet-Hot coated headers. We purchased them from MSA. I would think that any kind of header wrap would retain moisture, been told to stay away from that route. Can't remember the price on the Jet Hots from MSA. Good luck with what ever you choose. Vicky

Car Is Finally Painted!!
Beautiful Z! I think your sunshield should just say "MOVE-IT" (But you really wouldn't ruin your Z by putting a sunshield on it, right?) Very well done. Vicky
