  1. Oh yes Stephen, they are not forgotten. They are parked in the back of my dream garage next to my Daytona Charger with the massive wing on the back.......remember those and the funky colors they came in? Vicky
  2. I would only use PPG paint on my cars. My 77 has a 3 stage Cinamon Candy Apple Red. Of couse it all comes down to one's opinion and how much you want to pay. In the car show circles, at least around here in Florida, PPG is #1. (It also takes a knowledgable body shop to shoot the paint) Vicky
  3. Nice!! I bet he was intimidated by your Z. You ever wonder if "those" types of car guys drool over our little Z cars? Do you think they say "Wow, listen to the sound of that inline 6". Probably not, but it would be nice. Most of the motor heads I know have a deep respect for the Z but not to many will tell you to your face. Oh well, their loss. Vicky
  4. Tom, we lust alike. My other "wish I had one" car is an original Boss 429. I just don't have an extra 120K laying around. Vicky
  5. I've heard that the 240Z was one of the top 10 most influential cars of all time. Vicky
  6. Hey Will the only reason I know this is because the Millenium Faulken was RHD, so it was designed for the european market as opposed to the Millenium Falcon which is LHD. hehehe Vicky
  7. That would be the German version. The American version was the Millenium Falcon. Vicky
  8. Buy it Stephen, buy it!!! The wife won't mind. Vicky
  9. Yikes, your avatar scares me Vicky
  10. Always nice to see the young bloods getting into a car almost twice their age. Restore 'em, rebuild 'em and run 'em against the honda and mitsubishi kids. The original Japanese sports car........they will be impressed and intimidated. Good luck and welcome Vicky
  11. Inspirational? How about InZane! I don't think I would have the strength to write the checks again for a project like that. I had to have hand surgery after the car was done....loss of feeling due to constant pressure of an ink pen against checks Vicky
  12. We won't even go there on the Red Z. When the car was completed and ready to be insured, I added up every single receipt for documentation purposes. I'm to embarassed to say how much is in that car Vicky

  14. Yes, welcome........and oh yeah, nice 280Z you have there. Vicky
  15. This is why my husband doesn't let me do anything on the car.........it would be destroyed Vicky
  16. I could give a flyin' fudge if anyone wants to download my car. I've posted pics on a public forum so my rights went out the door IMO. I really can't believe it's come down to this. Nothing is more pleasing to the eye then a picture of a beautiful Z. Come on people, upload your Z's so we can all enjoy the car! Vicky
  17. I would think you would use a high pressure air hose to get dirt particles out. Can they be cleaned with a liquid? Vicky
  18. Watched an episode of "Rides" last weekend about the Lambo Mercialago (spelling?) Roadster. From the very design of the car to the test drive. What a machine. The engine alone was $85,000!!!!! A little section of the front air dam clip was $14,000!!! Can you imagine having the job of test driver for Lamborghini. Vicky
  19. Is this a supercharger for 1st gen Z's? I read discussions here where someone had come up with a SC for the Z but it was never put in the car and actually proven. (I'm trying to convince my husband to supercharge the 77 if a proven product is available) Vicky

If the car came with A/C from the factory, then wouldn't the controls be under the main vent along with the heater controls like on the 280Z's? I'm sure someone here could elaborate on this further. Man, the more I look at that car, the more I like it. The interior kind of grows on you. Absolutely beautiful Vicky

That's a beautiful Z. I don't really care for a brown car but that one is very nice. Seems to be well preserved. Vicky
  22. Believe I saw somewhere that it was going to be in Dallas area but I'm really not sure. When, I don't know. They normally make the anouncement at the current ZCCA convention. When we attended the 2003 convention in New Hampshire, it was mentioned that Southern California would hold the 2004 event and a meeting was held at the New Hamshire event to pick Rochester NY as host for the 2005 meet. Maybe someone who attended the 2004 event could supply a little more accurate info. Vicky
  23. The 2005 convention is in upstate New York, the 2006 is in Texas I believe. I hope the 2007 convention is in Florida, during non-hurricane season of course Vicky
  24. Didn't alot of the US automakers start using the FWD in the 80's? My husband had an 85 (?) Olds Frienza "The Beater" that was FWD. I always though they did this to economize the cars. The engine was sideways, no drive shaft so no loss of power (what power) to the front wheels. Are todays FWD cars simular to this set up? Vicky

That car is "Far Out Man". The paint has a picture of the world surrounded by daisey peddles and then Flames. The guy must have dropped acid before he painted it. Vicky
