  1. @EuroDat, Did you use 2 different sized cutters? If so what size did you use?
  2. Thanks @Patcon, looking back at the pics. I believe there are just two spot welds on the bracket. In the first pic I drilled in the center of the bracket. Creating that large hole. I agree just try to cut through the bracket material only. So 3/8 is not too large for these welds?
  3. This is my first attempt removing a spot weld. After looking at my first attempt, I assume the goal is not to drill all the way through. Just enough to remove the weld correct? The bit I’m using is 3/8. Does that seem to large for theses spot welds?
  4. Jumping on this thread, Please forgive me. The first photo of the sight shield is what I’m attempting to remove. I bought a spot weld tool from ZCD. Drilled out the first spot weld and the bracket is still attached solid. Can anyone shed some light on this before I attempt the others? Here’s a pic of the first weld I removed.
  5. My 78 280 had a very light silicone based adhesive on the back of the booster when it was installed. I also was expecting a gasket.
  6. I see what you mean after looking closer. A little over kill. Looks like the bit im using is too large.

  9. Harbor freight Daytona 3 ton $200 on sale is a great jack.
  10. Not sure how to answer this. Did you isolate the connections on the pump. Meaning it’s not a good idea IMO to just throw power to the circuit without isolating the component being tested.
  11. Can you give us a better idea on how you isolated the pump wiring in order to test tje pump.
  12. Have you tried to connect 12volts directly to the pump with a known good ground circuit. Just to remove that variable. Identify the pump is at least running. Doesn’t mean it’s a good/functional pump but you at least know it’s not locked up/frozen.
  13. Merry Christmas, Thanks to everyone on the forum. Wishing everyone the best Christmas ever! Hope you got a stipend from your loved ones. Stay safe!!
  14. IRA, Did you buy this analyzer?
  15. Mainly looking for advice on which direction to go.
  16. Prrfect time to make a couple of extras!!!!
  17. Sure does, Courtesy Nissan gave me that as an option and when I looked I thought the same thing.
  18. Perfect, I’ve searched everywhere I know of with no luck. Is there a Carpartsmanul for ZX’s out there somewhere? Thanks for the information!
  19. Hmmm, saw a post on AtlanticZ talking about that. Now where to find an older shift rod......
  20. Trying to locate the Nissan p/n for this shifter bushing. All I can find is the older style bushings for 70-78 transmissions. I have a FS5W71B close ratio from a ZX. Courtesy gave me a couple of p/n’s but we’re the older type bushings. I’ve got another order going to them and want to add the bushings. Appreciate the help!
  21. I found a set on eBay that are supposed to fit the 280 series. Another member here just put a set on his car. I assume you would want a progressive spring right?
  22. Has anyone had experience with the vogtland and eibach springs as a comparison on lowering a 280? Huge bumpers removed therefore riding even higher than stock. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  23. Installing a pressure gauge between the filter and fuel rail is a great diagnostic tool for monitoring your delivery. Inexpensive and will provide diagnostic feedback for the fuel system. IMO
  24. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge in series to monitor your pressure? I’ve scanned back through the post but did not see where you mentioned fuel pump pressure/activity etc.
