Wondering now after my first post how much goes into play of the coating once the headers have been installed and running. Meaning how does it adhere to dirt and exhaust soot. Possibly more expense involved trying to bring them back.

Mine were reasonable $425 for header & collector.

History on the engine would give us a lot more possibilities for what you’re experiencing.

How long since the engine had a refresh

Realistic figure due to the number of folks present or on line bidding should be around 90k with fees. IMO

Be careful grounding out a lead that is unknown can be quite risky. Very easy to blow the speaker outputs.

How does the sealant effect the brass screen?

I’m definitely not a carpenter nor a builder like @patcon but what do you think about inserting 2x4 horizontally between the joists not only to strengthen but keep them from bowing. Just curious

Should plug into your harness. Do yourself a huge favor and download the FSM from this site.

If you can get it between 10&12 it might be a good deal. Needs a lot of work IMO.

There are a bunch of tachs on eBay starting at $40. Well worth swapping out and easy to do IMO. Modifying the harness would be a last resort. My 2 cents…

They were on my 78 LH side just barely above the hood hinge. Body man told me it was caused by two dis similar metals.
