  1. If you dig in, the photos in this thread may be helpful: https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/40425-su-reassembly-step-by-step-part-1-tear-down-torn-n-tattered-worse-for-wear-n-tear/
  2. Like #6 today is for Kats ?
  3. Slightly higher temp is normal for engine braking in but you may be a bit lean. I concur with Dave on the oil pressure.
  4. Hi Jim, I looked at early VINS and the very early one in the Engine FSM. They all have the nylon support. I think that rail may have been customized or perhaps from a JDM model.
  5. Yup. We are swimming with the big fish now.
  6. Yes. The Govt's are for the people, not the corporations... that is the problem... study your history.
  7. Exactly... and the Govt's that let companies close in NA and move shop to China. NA currently has the tech lead but could lose it if not for Trumps current trade war...at least one thing he is doing right. Too bad people do not recognize the significance of this. I guess I may have some insight having helped a Chinese company break into a market then working for them over a 9 year period.... I saw the good, then bad then really bad. I'm glad they were shown the door in the end after their method of operating changed from NA at the start to Mainland Chinese over the 9 years.
  8. Mainland China Govt's big plan.... the drug dealer methodology.... get the world addicted to low cost junk and corner the supply.... our local Govt's are the pushers and we are the addicts. I could see this coming since the 90's with the WTO entry and all the cheap and dangerous kids toys and telescopes flooding the market place.... just like the illegal invasion of Iraq in 2003, you could see it well before the train wreck happened.... it is still sad times when the Russians can take down a jet, Saudi's can take out a Journalist and no one blinks but rather changes the channel to the Kardashians.
  9. With some Z's approaching over $100,000USD worldwide, prices are going crazy. Good and bad for all of us.
  10. I saw this many times too.
  11. My error. Excellent sites and content none the less. Alan your genius comes to light on the GTR site! Nice stuff!
  12. Here is Dan's excellent post. Make one and put it on Ebay lol easy $1k!!!
  13. Good news! It was the op-amp Hitachi FA-6007T that died. I'm not sure if there are any other Hitachi radios using this early bird? FYI a quick and dirty test of the audio section is to simply touch pin 1 and the radio should hum.
  14. Yes. For higher compression engines, less maximum electrical timing is needed. For mechanical valve event timing, moving the cam timing (at sprocket) to #1 position may help breathing and give you more WOT HP. ?
  15. Well the 2SB337 power transistors work fine. I swapped modules and the problem did not move. Next will be the OP-Amp.
  16. I was thinking it would be nice jewelry for #147 . I'll fab one like @dk240z did... ?
  17. Did the Dyno use a wideband? It would be interesting to compare. I wonder where you can get 5 more HP?
  18. Weird, I was just thinking of you and this earlier today. Must have been ths Z FORCE. 195RWHP is F'n AWESOME!!!!! For the high RPM scatter, usually a distributor refresh with lube can help the high end. Sometimes the spindle teeth meshing with the worm on crank snout cause timing variation at high rpms according to Frank Honsowetz. He recommends brass teeth. Also it could be poor electronic components in the Pertronix.
  19. I thought this was yours: https://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/236658-1969-nissan-s20-twin-cam-engine-rebuild.html ?
  20. Janet would have killed me anyway. Your turn: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/113812521729?ul_noapp=true
  21. btw your UK website is great. It often comes up in searches and @HS30-H has posted superb information on that site for years. I love his S20 rebuild thread.
  22. Thanks AK. I should be good but someone else reading the thread may wish to have them.
